I just think that's it's hard to recommend any engines , some will tell that the engine they have are absolutely the best's around but you might not like it or find it too weak or too powerfull, i would say that you should see what guy's are running around in your local club and the decide for yourself what would suit your need's best .
I have the original jammin engin in my RTR and a OS18 TZ waiting when the OE engine will pass away.

why is there a big chunk missing from your body? lol and what kinda front bumper is that? cause the stock ones suck

for faster fuel stops... (I have a crt .5 class at my local track), the bumper is the one supplied with the ext chassis kit.

18tz is fun for bashing, hard to control unless you have excellent throttle control, you could gear it with a higher cb and bigger tires.
12tz is excellent for racing. And bashing as well.
Jammin .12 (rtr) is a good starter engine to learn the truck, but tops out too quick and the truck can handle a lot more.

Hope this helps.

hi,
i was just wondering what kind of starter box everyone is using with their crt.5's. I am debating whether the mini box will have enough power for an 18tz, or I may just go with the ofna 10245. What do you guys use and suggest?

what is the most agressive tread tires anybody's running on there .5. i'm putting the 18tz in mine and will need all the traction i can get on the track. also is there a hub extender out there for these.

frist i would have gone with the .12tz for the track but thats ok i would say the proline bow-ties that it comes with or holeshots but i think for the track and that u have a os.18tz i would stick with the boe-ties.

with the 18tz's price i couldn't resist. this could be interesting(see pic). those are the 2.2 proline badlands. i'm waiting for the other 2 to come in the mail. i'm getting ready to do a full tear down and rebuild. for racing i'll use the bow ties and step pins.

Hi I see that you have the RTR version ,i would like to ask you how much fuel you have gone through allready and if the engine is reliable ?(i have the same car and i have not been able tu run it yet , because of winter )
For the tires i would say the same than Ktmusa ,as soon as they will get speed , they will balloon so much that the car wil not be contrlable any more and the might hit the pipe .
