buggyman congrats on the new crt.5

Has there been any info on the leaky tank. That reason is why my crt.5 sees no drive time

Hi all
Here is what i saw on the Hong nor website , they release a new CRT.5 with pivot ball steering ,and a conversion kit should also be available soon !
http://www.hongnor.com.tw/eng/pviewitem1.asp?sn=672&area=45&cat=159
Knowing that Hongnor makes the Jammin crt5 jammin should have soon thoses also .
Have close look , it has the inline pipe ,alloy shocks and shock towers and more ! Why buy a pro version any more as the RTR psb is loaded with more than the pro version !

thanks 719.
i still didn`t finish the build. i pressure checked my fuel tank.
and i found no leaks out of the box.
i`m still playing the RX box. trying to get battery and RX in there.
i might just mount the RX battery on the out side of the RX box.
after that its just paint the lid and glue up the tires.
i should be doing my break in this weekend.

hey guys
my build is done and i started my break in on the .12picco
it was a pain to get it started. when it did start. i got about half way
thur the first tank and it stalled. now i can`t get it to fire at all.
i find the piston keeps getting stuck at TDC and i do mean STUCK.
i have to turn the flywheel with a screwdriver. try it again.
only to find the piston is stuck again. i`m going try again tonite.
if i can`t get it to fire. its out of there and i`m getting a os engine.
i did try everything to loosen up the piston. loosen glow plug, heat up the head with a blower,
new glow plug. even though the plug glowed nice and red. nothing. i was up to midnight trying to
get it started. i`m at my wits end with that engine. i know break ins are a pain. but this is the hardest
engine i even tried to break in.

buggymangp put some after run oil in the cylinder 10 or so drops then crank it over for a bit then prime the engine and it should fire with no problem. they are very tight when new and need about 2 tanks through them before they stop getting stuck.

i gave up.
that engine is swining with the fishs.
8 hours trying to get that engine to run was enought for me.
i ripped the engine out and threw it in the lake by my house.
along with the CB,pipe. airfilter.
i tried everything to get it to run. heat up the head.
put oil down the cyl. replaced 4 glow plugs.
take carb off. take backing plate and head off.
yes i`m very upset and now the car is going sit on the shelve
until i can get the money for a new engine.

Buggyman, do you know how to charge a battery?
If you do, then why not put a brushless motor and
a lipo battery on your .5. I think that set-up may
fit your mental capacity a little better. LMAO!!!

i know what you guys are saying.
that guy don`t know how to break in an engine.
i have over 12 nitro cars and trucks and never had that hard of time getting an engine
to run the first time. that engine never flet right from the start.
i could get that engine to spin on the starter wheel
for minutes on end but it would not fire.
i killed the battery in my starter box many times
trying to get it to fire. nothing. i checked and charged my glow plug battery many times
and removed the plug many times and saw the plug glowing red. i replaced 4 glow plugs.
i even started my prospec with the same glow plug battery and it fired right up.

Well my CRT .5 is ready for break in . Still waiting to finish the Body and Wing. But its built. I still cant get over on how small it is .

Build was great, only problem I had was getting the CF radio tray to fit.

Cant wait to get it on a track

@ Buggy

Look at the JP .12 Eagle. Looking at that for my next engine. They make good amounts of power too, and are quite reliable.

Buggymangp, I want to say that I'm sorry for the unkind remarks
that I made. I thought about some things that I have done in the
heat of the moment. I have let my temper get the best of me too.
Just be thankfull that the you engine didn't smack someone up-side
the head or kill a duck swimmin on the lake when you put it for the chuck.
Oh yea, I also got to tell ya that the O.S. TZ motors come with alot of pinch
and they really like to get stuck when there new too.

Just out of curiosity. Did you check your needles before trying to break it in. I know the needles on my engine were waaaaaay off, but I caught it before break-in. Also did you try a new plug? Which one? I myself have the .12tz, but thats mainly b/c the engine that the .5 came with "topped" out.

i agree with that , once i had a 12 OS in my GT and the LSN was totally closed , i tried firing that thing for hours before a friend pointed out at me that the needle was closed ...
