Well I don't have a extended version and my front pegs are almost all the way to the front of the box. I don't know for sure but it might be something to think about. You could always just not use the pegs and free hand it. Also the mini starter boxes are kinda cheesy.

i have the newer version of the rtr (with long chasis) and the 18tz and the mini starter box with a 3000 mah pack in it. works perfectly and cranks over the 18tz with no problem.

Come july I plan on ordering a RTR with the mini starter box and an 18tz, its amazing so many people have it and they are always in stock. Anyways so the mini starter box cranks it fine? with the pullstart attached? or will I have to get rid of it?

You can start a pull start engine with a starter box , it make's no differences ,the only thing is that having a pull start makes you loose power .
I just looked on Tower Hobbies , and there is no 18TZ that has a SG shaft ,slide carb and a pull start .So i guess that you will have to go directly with this one that does not have pull start .
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHLV6&P=0
As you are planning on getting the mini starter box with it ,it should be fine .
I am getting that engine and the mini starter box ,it's on order and should come next week or so .
I allready have that engine on my RC10GT and it is the easiest engine to tune and run that i have ever seen ,plus it has insane power that makes my ST one of the fastest car on our track (in straight line of course)so i guess taht with a little gearing the CRT5 will be a winner with that engine .

For me the biggest shock improvement came from bigger front shocks. I used Revo front shocks and have a post in this thread that details the install and setup. I've since added CR/CRT front shocks to the rear and they were an improvement too, but not nearly as much as the Revo's on the front.

hi
ive geared it up to a 15t , along with the 2.2" wheels/tyres ... ive also fitted the light weight spur gear ,which is meant to increase take off , ive only tried it on tarmac seems to pull ok ....i think i could go up another tooth on the cb ,but ill see tomorrow at the track....

i recon a 15t bell may not be enough , maybe a 16/17t with 2.2"wheels / tyres ...may be better ..
