how is the Picco .12 vs the Jammin .12? You can't bolt a pullstart on the picco? They sell the Jammin .12 for about $100.

Good luck selling that motor. You'd be lucky to get 20 dollars for it. I may sound mean, but it's the truth. You're gonna get sick of that power-less mill, want a new one, and dump more money into it.

Plus you can fit regular servos in the thing, though it takes some work.

I'll keep it as a spare, i have seen it run, it almosts keeps up with his on road car theat does 50mph. Besides if it was so bad every body else would say it's crapy motor, BUT you are the ONLY one. Dont talk crap about things you have never owned. SO SHUT-UP.ABOUT IT.

Never owned? More like never will own again. Had one in my HPI Nitro MT when I went cheap. Dear little thing was useless. Hell the stock motor was better

Well I just decided to forget about the OS TZ .18 I got a CTR .5 with Hyper .12 which from my research does a heck of a lot better than the stock picco or the Jammin .12 that will be in the RTR I got the Truggy a steering servo motor and starter box for $300.00 the guy only has about 10 tanks threw the motor which once I get my chassis dialed I will be getting either a Novarossi or Red dot and will be getting the JP hard anodized tuned pipe I heard the pipe will make the biggest difference which I believe because 2 stroke motors worst enemy is restriction and a tuned exspansion chamber will do more than most motor mods will ever do unless you do both LOL So for 300 I got everything only shy a throttle/brake servo and I have my Spectrum DX2 TX & RX and my RX will fit in this little guy.

Off the subject I owned my own dealership for a many years and built mainly 4 stroke race motors not a big 2 stroke guy but if you are racing everything from porting cumbustion chamber work ignition crank lighting polishing you name it its all about how many sponsors you have or how much of your own cash you have. I now develope side by side vehicles (yamaha rhinos) and utility ATV's not doing much race stuff anymore I only do it for my boys now. And what Kawi and Suki does is allways just smoke and mirrors and then they just copy each other LOL

I don't think the hyper .12 is a bad motor I'm sure its quik enough for this little guy I think my worries are staying tuned and durability.

So did you get your CRT Mx314 ??? what servos does yours have.

I get mine next week I'm getting a cheaper servo for the throttle untill I see really what I want.

I think the first kits that came out without the motor had some extras that current ones do not have.

Oh hey MBX5T MANIAC I just bought a MBX5T PROSPECT can't wait to get that baby on the track.

I want to say one thing. not everybody has a unlimited budget for there RC's I once did for them and my motorcycles and it broke me so I'm taking this CRT .5 build slow once I see how much I like it I will put some $ into the right motor but untill then I'm MR. budget

I just got mine dialed, got the .18TZ, it absolutly rips, I had my os .12 TZ, that did good, but the .18tz put it on a new level, so now the .12 Tz is on ebay. This truck is UNBELIEVABLE!!! My AD2 is also on ebay, this truck absolutly rocks, maybe a little too easy to drive, but thats my only complaint which isn't a bad one!!!

Well Finally my CRT .5 is on its. Should be with me next week. I ordered a SH 12 handbuilt engine.
I am not going to fit the small servos. I will make some mods to make the standard size servos fit.
Anyone done this? I would like some tips.

I'll post pics for sure.

rcmxsports you're gona like the x5 prospec. its a great machine. quality all the way and has the peak topped battery compartment so 5 cell 2700 mah rec packs fits in for long run times without recharge. if you run two digital servos imo its worth it even though its a little heavy. i still havent got a crt.5, still thinning out the herd of rc so i dont add to my chaos. i would like to see a good mod for std size servo. that might cause a crt.5 buying convulsion!! lol

Just got my CRT .5 yesterday from the guy I bought it from WOW! it is spanking new I have the Hyper .12 but think I'm getting a Nova rossi I would like to put a .18 TZ but man I think that is too much if this thing drives the way they say I can just stay on the throttle and do just as fast lap times as someone with a bigger motor I don't want to be spinning all over the track but hey I have not driven it yet once I do I might just change my mind on the motor.

Whats everybody using for a receiver I'm using spectrum sr3000 it fits right in but that stinking battery set up is going and I'm putting on a hump pack. How have you guys set up your RX and batterys???

I would like to use my bigger size servos has anybody done and do you have some suggestions and some good instructions and pics.???

I get my Mugen at the end of the week man I can not wait its my first 1/8 truggy I've allways ran 1/8 buggys now my buggys are going on the shelf well for a little any ways.

check truggyracers dot com under the CRT section. There's a thread in there for the crt .5, and they have instructions there
