That video is an advertisment ,it does not really show if the car works nice against other of the class (CRT.5).
They are so slow in this release that they might have killed the class even before take off,if there would be other contenders against the CRT.5 i am certain that it would have taken off much better in the hobby.

Definitely an advertisement. What I was trying to show is that they are out there but they are still being tested. Like I said Rob from Nitrohouse has been testing it along with other Hobao team drivers (Jeremy Kortz). It doesn't seem like the truck is ready. It has durability issues. It breaks easy. Plus the chassis flexes way too much. I will try and get a video up next time when Rob runs it again at Rev. I heard that he may be running it at the Nitrohouse race at the end of the month. I will ask my friend to video the race. A lot of us are going and will be racing in the crt .5 class. There was a crt .5 class at the O'donnell race 7/27/08 at Revelation. I will post links to videos of that race if you like.

I agree that if I drove an outdoor 1/10 track it would break a lot less frequently. Unfortunately for me my outdoor track is very supercross (big jumps) and my indoor track is very fast will lots of walls and poles. Oh well, I still have a blast with the e-crt.5, but still think that if they beefed up the arms, hubs, knuckles and steering they would be more popular at the 1/8 tracks. The drivetrain is very durable and can handle a lot more power than the stock .12 motor, so adding a bit of weight to make it stronger would not be a problem for a .15. Heck I'd even like to seem them make a full 1/10 4wd truck with all the nice features of the .5.

The only time I've ran into breaking issues is when it was totally my fault. A little truck like that does not do very well on a collision with an 1/8 scale beast. Yes they are attracted to pipes and poles so look out. It is definitely easy to drive on a 1/10th track. I remember when at my local track they turned it into a big supercross style and even the 1/8th scale buggies and truggies were breaking. It had a bumpy straight in the front which made chassis flex, caused clutch bell bearings to quit and made motors move. It wasn't fun until it was toned down. They even ran the electric series on that same lay out but you did not see the 1/10th scale guys going for the big jumps. Those jumps were insane!. They could easily launch your car 10ft into the air. It sure is fun going up but not down. You are definitely right. Its not cool when you have to race with the stadium trucks. Its awesome when you race other crt .5s. Where I live you get at least 7 drivers in the class and depending on the track only 3 or 4 finish.

Check out this video and you will know what I'm talking about. Try racing the crt .5 on that! it is a video from the Novarossi race

I also agree that all the arms break's and one tank was caused by jumping our double witch makes a 6 to 7 meters long and 2 to 3 meters high jump ,and a lot of 1/8 cars break parts on that jump ,the CRT.5 is a very reliable car out of the box as for my RC10GT i had to upgrade allmost all the car to get something reliable on a 1/8 track.
Since a few weeks i resist jumping the 2 big jumps on our track and since then i have not broken even one part .

By the way,i found out a good setting on my CRT.5 ,my car had far too much off power push into turns and i just changed the rear sway bar to a 2,2mm one and it made a world of difference ,the car is now much sharper in and out of turn's and it's even more a blast to drive .

So they are out only for some individuals to be tested ,they allready have them around Europe on preorder sales but no one has seen any yet ,hope tey find out how to make it reliable before release in order to get the contender we are all waiting for to get the 1/12 nitro class bigger .

Thanks for the pics of the PBS system! You will have to give us a full report on any handling differences and a durability comparison. I'm very happy with the way the stock front suspension handles, but would like something more durable if it handles as well as the stock system.

Anyone know when these will be available in the USA?

They should allready be available via Nitrohouse ,if Jammin had the good idea of importing them .
They have been allready available here in Finland since 2 months and one my retailer in Helsinki said that he sold a few of them and no one complained any broken parts on the PBS .
I will try to see how it goes but i have no doubt that it will be more than fine. Will keep you updated

As you saw on the pic's , my CRT5 has a OS18TZ and a JP5 pipe along with a 16 tooth clutch bell ,i drive it as i could drive a 1/8 on our track and if the PBS conversion is not durable ,i guess i will find it out pretty soon

I use a 5 cells AAA battery pack that i home made ,but you can find them ready made ,a hump pack will fit in the box but then it will be the only thing inside ,no more place for any receiver .Go with a 5 cells AAA pack it gives lot of run time and nothing stop's you from having 1 spare in your tool box.
If you want to keep the exes ,the only wheel's that will fit are the Jammin/hong nor made for the CRT.5,you have the original one's in white or yellow or the flat dish option one's (i tried them and they seem's to be more fragile than the original one's) ,but you can also fit rear rim's from the older Team associated B3 by taking off the exes and leaving only the pin's ,you will then have the right offset .B4 rims shorten's the offset as well as Kyosho rims from the Ultima or RB5.

I finally got it in the mail last week. This is my second one. I sold my last one about 2 months ago and regreted it. I got this brand new roller off of ebay for $132 shipped, minus the body. Today I got my parts from RCMonster. Here is the outcome.

Runs awsome. Runing a 13 tooth pinion. I opted to not do lipo this time. I had one 6000mah Max Amp battery that just died on me. I'm not trying to break any records so NIMH is fine for me rite now. I'll GPS it and see where its at. Still need to get a Body for it though. So it will probably be a while till I can hit the track with it.

SSOOOOOOO ,After a whole day at the track of testing the PBS conversion ...
It rocks !!!!!!!!! the steering is much more accurate ,more off power steering ,more on power steering ,can pass much faster in small corner's and speed in big turns became crazy .I ,so far,can only see advantages to the PBS on the CRT5 .
Plus the reliability is on the top , i had a bad crash by landing from a high jump direcly whith one of the front wheel caught in a hole and stopping the car on the spot at high speed ,with the C hub i would have exploded a hub and arm ,but there i only snapped the 2 plastic insert in the aluminium plates ,5 minutes to change them and i was back on the track for more abuse.
One guy came from a photograph school and was taking much pictures of our car's and he promised to mail me pics as soon as he will sort them out ,i will of course then post them to give an idea of our track ,i allready saw some of them and he really caught us on some nice high jump's
