I love my CRT. I used to carry ALL my cars to the track but now since there is VERY limited space in my Solstice I find that the CRT is usually the one that goes for a Saturday afternoon bash session. Dont get me wrong I still really enjoy my 1/8th scale when it gets down to the "nitty-gritty", but now I am starting to rethink the little CRT. The more I run it the faster and better it gets. I will admit I have been "sand bagging" this post just reading and trying the setups you guys post and my CRT is getting REAL "dialed" in. Thanks guys . [image][/image]

Got some reading to do. I've decided to build one of these little beast over the winter. I just purchased a BCE chassis for starters. Hoping to go E and Nitro.

I just picked up one of these in kit form. I need to decide on an engine. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or should I go with the Jammin engine. Can I use a regular bump box with this, or do I need to get the smaller Ofna starter box? I'm looking forward to playing around with this.

I have the Picco engine and it screams! The small bump box works great for me.

Has anyone tried putting on bigger tires?

Seems like it could handle abit bigger tires....especially for those that are going .18!

i wonder if the Jato tiers would fit?....they are 2.8" and 2.2" tires can stretch over those rims lol
anyways would be qutie a site.

I have question! and it is how long does a .18 OS hold in this little wicked truggy???
can you keep it as a permanant or does it brake so often its a 1 time thing?

Lots of guys at rc-monster run 2.2 and 2.8 truck wheels and tires on the crt.5. If you bash or drive rough tracks the bigger wheels are nice and gets the chassis off the ground. If you use a traxxas wheel you will want the electic fronts or nitro rears. They both have the maximum offset and come in 12mm hex.

The drive train of the crt.5 will handle a .18 no problem. I run a very powerfull electric motor and the drive train is holding up great and has no clutch or slipper to protect it from the high torque of the motor. This motor is powerfull enough to push a 1/8 buggy around at the same speeds as a top nitro .21.

cool dude! that nuts! xD

im glad the 2.8" arent too big cause i think the 2.2 are a bit to small.
do you wreckon the hyper mini st has a strong drivetrain and is at the same standard as the crt .5??

For some reason it hasnt kicked off like the crt.5
havent seen many.
ive read somewhere that the arms and drivetrain and the same? :s do you know if they are?

the 1/12th truggy i think is pretty much like a 1/10 truggy.....just guesstimating!

You can use a full size box but it is a lil pain getting it lined up. As for a motor what power are you lookin for. The jammin .12 is not bad but a lil under powered for my taste. An OS 18tz is a good price and it just plain owns!
