I'm all excited about the 69" Yak-54. So, I'm on here beggin' for more info! Is a release date set yet? pricing?
Would a 38oz (AUW) 26cc gas engine be appropriate? Very excited.

I just got an email back from them and they don't have a date or pricing yet. If you go to their web site and send them an email, they will notify you when they have more info.

Hi Dave,

I just got the prototype 69" to write the manual for it. I will post pictures. Plane is absolutely gorgeous and we should have them in 3 months or so. As far as gas engine goes, I'm not sure it would be a very good idea but I will keep everyone posted of what we think would give you the best combination. My plane will be set up with OS 1.20 two stroke as Quique recommneds it. So manual will be written based upon that.

Regards,
Reza

There is obviously more than a small interest in putting a small gas engine in this size plane, come on QQ be the first to make a purpose made small plane for gas, or at least provision to mod to accept gas, it would just take a little room to install the exhast I think, as I don't know how much room there is inside the cowl to accomadate it I am assuming.

Hi David, I'd Like get the Photos of 69" QQ Yak-54. Are You going Post Instruction Assemble Manual? I'm Just Finishing Building 67" Carl Goldberg Yak 54 and I Used the OS 120 AX Engine in it. You Can See someof My Planes in My Hangar on this website user name richgrow. So far My Showtime 90 with OS 120 AX Engine is My Favorite Flying 3D/4D Plane. Really like SFG on all the time. Hoping Yak-54 Flies as good. What Projected Price of QQ Yak-54?

I'd like to say a YS 110 or Saito 150 are good choices but I will need to see the performance with OS 1.20 first before I make a definitive comment on that.

Regards,
Reza

Rezagh, if it comes in around 8.5lbs, a Saito 125 might do fine, providing its not too tail heavy? It will also depend on the altitude.
Thank you Mike.

I am attaching some pics of this kit that I am working on to write the assembly manual. Are you guys interested in a build thread as well. It may be too soon since plane won't be available until next couple of months.

Thank you,
Reza

Hello, qqaircraft does not work but with YS engines? because they recommend for this model OS 120, instead of YS 110.

Greetings.

Hi Reza, I see markers for YS and OS. None for Saito?

What is the total length of the Yak?

And oh yes, a build thread is never too early
