ORIGINAL: f150dan Here's a pic of my HPI RS4 MT. It has aluminum bellcrank, aluminum rear bulkhead, carbon fiber upper deck, carbon fiber rear shock tower, graphite arms, titanium turnbuckles, full bearings, CVD's, Futaba 9303 Coreless servo and a LRP Sphere/Neo 4 Star brushless setup. I am probably forgetting a few of the hop-up's but you get the idea anyway. that's all well and good...but i really dig the body! quote:
ORIGINAL: CookiesSavage Where can you find those hard to get parts...Like the rear shock towers in carbon fiber, adjustable turnbuckles or the stock replacments...supposedly those are not made anymore. There are alot of other parts but im trying to find out where all this stuff can be found. I just bought a carbon fiber chassis stiffening support (the last one my local hobby shop had) he has a bunch of other old stock hard to find parts but I dont need them. We race our indoors so they are not bashers. Pretty much all the hard to find prolly and almost discontinued parts? Anyone have any connections? here's what i do... 1) find the actual part number 2) do an internet search for it 3) see what i find if you need a copy, email me and i'll reply with a PDF of the owner's manual. it has the parts listed as well as the assembly diagrams. i know it's pretty generic and kinda lame, but seriously....the #1 thing you need is the part number. ebay has some things, looking for a rolling chassis might be a good idea. as far as upgrades, i don't know. if you want some titanium turnbuckles, you might check out www.lunsfordracing.com. if they don't have what you need in a kit, surely they can put one together for you. if not, just measure your turnbuckles, and take the measurements to your hobby shop and match them up to what's in stock. it's just a turnbuckle, so the only thing that matters is the length. there is no single place to find what you need. since it's discontinued, the parts are scarce. you'll find some here and there, but there is no magical stash of RS4MT parts. you just have to be diligent...good luck
