Where are you guys at!!??? I have some questions for you.

icecreamslick -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/1/2007 3:42:25 PM)

There are at least three or four on this forum......I'm one...........what the heck do you want?!! [:D]

CookiesSavage -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/1/2007 4:05:56 PM)

Where can you find those hard to get parts...Like the rear shock towers in carbon fiber, adjustable turnbuckles or the stock replacments...supposedly those are not made anymore. There are alot of other parts but im trying to find out where all this stuff can be found. I just bought a carbon fiber chassis stiffening support (the last one my local hobby shop had) he has a bunch of other old stock hard to find parts but I dont need them. We race our indoors so they are not bashers. Pretty much all the hard to find prolly and almost discontinued parts? Anyone have any connections?

icecreamslick -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/1/2007 4:23:56 PM)

It is going to be pretty difficult to find the parts that you want. [:o] Tower Hobbies has some parts and more coming sometime in March, but HPI does not have much in stock and probably won't get more.

I have not been looking for anything other than stock parts, so I tend to watch Ebay for rollers. Two of the other guys on the forum bought cars with lots of extra parts, so they might have what you need. Read through this thread and PM them:

I didnt see really anything for sale on there.....Unless it was past the first page. I looked at tower...its all kinda on backorder...and RC Boyz was the same deal.

B44&501xRacerEX -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/1/2007 8:08:31 PM)

Another good truck is this one!
4wd, belt driven.
I just use mine as a shelf queen since, most of the parts you cannnot get anymore.
I did race it 3 years ago, it didnt do very good.
Those baja bug bodies are not very good either. They break in the rear where the body post meets.
The Ford F-150 body is the one to try.

hands without shadows -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/1/2007 8:13:28 PM)

I think 2 other people that have rs4 mt's are f-150dan and inverted. Fairly sure f-150dan does (or did), I think inverted had one for awhile or something, maybe I just think he did because he posts alot.

Haulin Azz -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/1/2007 8:13:43 PM)

mine are great racers. I have 3 rs4mt 1 has aluminum and graphite parts, the other is brand new with some alloy the other is all stock and used though.

f150dan -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/5/2007 7:51:58 AM)

Here's a pic of my HPI RS4 MT. It has aluminum bellcrank, aluminum rear bulkhead, carbon fiber upper deck, carbon fiber rear shock tower, graphite arms, titanium turnbuckles, full bearings, CVD's, Futaba 9303 Coreless servo and a LRP Sphere/Neo 4 Star brushless setup. I am probably forgetting a few of the hop-up's but you get the idea anyway.

rheeder218 -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/5/2007 3:03:05 PM)

i have one. my brother on here has one as well. we both have novak brushless systems and not much else modified.

here's what i do...
1) find the actual part number
2) do an internet search for it
3) see what i find

if you need a copy, email me and i'll reply with a PDF of the owner's manual. it has the parts listed as well as the assembly diagrams.

i know it's pretty generic and kinda lame, but seriously....the #1 thing you need is the part number. ebay has some things, looking for a rolling chassis might be a good idea. as far as upgrades, i don't know. if you want some titanium turnbuckles, you might check out www.lunsfordracing.com. if they don't have what you need in a kit, surely they can put one together for you. if not, just measure your turnbuckles, and take the measurements to your hobby shop and match them up to what's in stock. it's just a turnbuckle, so the only thing that matters is the length.

there is no single place to find what you need. since it's discontinued, the parts are scarce. you'll find some here and there, but there is no magical stash of RS4MT parts. you just have to be diligent...good luck

Thank's man. The body is just the stock RTR body off the new RC10 GT2.[;)]

well i have a box full of rs4 mt stuff.... i am in the process of building my third one with mainly new parts[:D] I got some pics of my truggy, and my brand new one that just had its first run, the first one was in our neighbors farm field! Muddy[:D] It ran great and it is very strong! This third one needs fully rebuilt but i have the parts. I think i will put my graphite arms, since the new one is all stock(with alloy steering and rear bulk head), and the truggy has alloy everything you can get(arms, knuckles, bulkhead, steering, and some other stuff). I will also puit alloy steering on this one, and alloy rear bulk head, and some other alloy i have. I think this will be my modder. I will make custom parts for it, like chassis, chassis brace, rear shock tower, ect. It will turn out good i hope but i will water proof it and all and put and emaxx motor in it and it will be my mudder/beater/do everything with truck[:D] oh and a pic of one of my t4 trucks(new body, new truck)

Phelansa -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/8/2007 2:46:01 AM)

I just found a brand new one, still sealed in the box for about $130. Will know by this evening if my bid was sucsessfull.

It is a lot of money for an discontinued car i know. But I felt nostalgic [:)]

Haulin Azz -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/8/2007 3:00:38 AM)

it is well worth it, i am still wanting a forth. my lhs has a brand new in box for like 160 or 170 and i am very tempted, but i think i have enough for now.

broncojd -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/8/2007 3:05:36 AM)

the good thing about a new one is the fun of building it...if i could have found one i would have bought it

Haulin Azz -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/8/2007 3:19:19 AM)

ya i like building them, they go together perfectly

CookiesSavage -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/8/2007 3:21:38 AM)

I do have the instructions that were printed from a PDF file. I have called all over and noone seems to have hop up parts for these trucks anymore. 1 things for sure is that I need a graphite chassis. My buddy gave me his extra one so I kinda owe him one in return. He bought the last one from our shop here ......and now they cant get anymore. I would like to get the carbon fiber rear shock tower also.

Haulin Azz -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/8/2007 3:29:01 AM)

the only chassis avaliabvle is stock, and a stock shock tower only also

Phelansa -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/8/2007 4:13:29 AM)

@Haulin Azz

What BL setup are you running in that RS4MT? I have an MM5700 on the way. Originally ordered for my DF03, but it might just end up in the RS4.

Edit: Whoohoo, I won the Auction :-). Now I need to sell off at least one of my other cars. The wife person gets upset when I take up all the cupboard space in my house for my hobby.

Haulin Azz -> RE: RS4 MT Electric guys (3/9/2007 12:40:20 AM)
