I'm looking at getting a hpi micro rs4 and i was just going to use it for drifting around the kitchen and garage. I was wondering wether i should get the drift version with the d box or the other version? is the d box that necessary? or is there a better car for the job?

don't get the drift version, get a standard rs4 or better yet an m18 and learn to drift manually, its really not hard at all.

i own the drift model and my buddy owns the rubber tire model... it depends on how you want to use it... i would definetly not be trying to drift the standard rs4 with rubber tires.
if you want to easily slide corners and you don't wanna go in a straight line much then get the drifter
if you want to hug the corners and shoot down straightaways then get the standard rubber tire one

ps. go with the drifter
