Buy new brushes. Once it's hardened on the brush you're not going to be able to get it off again. The best thing to do is clean the brush before it hardens. Most people usually use disposable brushes for applying resin so they don't have to worry about trying to get the brush clean.

As suggested in the previous post. I buy cheap brushes and throw them away when I have finished. If you try to clean them the cost of the cleaner will be more than the brush is worth.

Fo small jobs I use the metal tube acid brushes, I buy them by the gross at about 15cents each. Most hardware stores have a line of cheap utility paint brushes of various widths,

You do need to be careful with cheap brushes, though. Some tend to shed hairs like crazy. The metal-tube type flux brushes don't tend to shed.

The hard brushes are hard forever. Sharpen the bristle ends and use them for tent stakes or something.

A little tip about small brushes, especially camel and horse hair types. Brushes should be "wiped" back and forth a few times to see if any hairs or bristles are going to come out. That should be done even with the high end brushes. For the cheap "throw away" type brushes, you can apply a very small amount of thin CA to the base of the brush to help keep the bristles in place. Just enough to get into the bristle holder, but not enough to "weep" into the working end.

I bought a canister of children's artist brushes from Hobby Lobby for applying epoxy. They cost me $4.00 for a can of 250 brushes. These are the litle colorful plastic brushes that have the plastic bristles like the acid brushes but smaller. I figure at 1.6 cents per brush, I would not care about throwing them out.

I have had a couple loose one or two bristles, but I might try the ca tip to see if that helps.
