Subject: [D8-L] District Safety Officer

Yo!

In conversation with Dr. Frank, he has informed me that as an out
growth of discussions during the February 2003 AMA EC meeting he has
decided to establish a new District Office. That Officer would be the
District VIII Safety Officer. That officer will be the District Liaison
person between all district chartered clubs, and the AMA Safety board.
Most clubs already have their own Safety Officer, and it would
be with these key folks that the new District Safety would interact to
help insure a District wide distribution of various club safety
practices, policies, and issues. He would also interact directly with
the AMA Safety board. Through his/her efforts, District VIII would be
assured of current and timely dissemination of official safety
information from AMA, as well as insuring District level cross talk and
feedback to the AMA Safety board.
Dr. Frank is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and mature
individual that feels that he/she would be capable and desirous of
functioning in such a key volunteer position. If you feel that you are
qualified for this new position and have the time to dedicate to the
very important work involved, Please contact Dr. Frank directly. His
contact information is below. He would also ask that you be willing to
conduct a Safety Seminar at the 2003 Southwestern Aeromodeling
Conference this coming October 3-4.

Horrace,

Although Sandy Frank has several e-mail addresses and pusedomnyms, the one Chief (Doug Powell) posted is in error. Try sfrank69@airmail.net .

Yep. Found that out.

Thanks for being the one to convey the message that Chief goofed. I pick on 'em enough.
