Hi Hugh,

Need some of your Pro advice:
We are experiencing some delamination with the carbon fiber fins.
Not major, but noticeable to a trained eye.

The cloth seems to not want to saturate as well as normal 6oz fiberglass
even thou we wet it major on both sides.

The weave is a little bigger that we would like, and may be the Prob?

Any ideas on using Carbon would be great, and email me
some product you think would work from your firm
I want to keep it Local US.

3" is the width we are using, but a Big (loose) weave.

Mahalo

Jock - (AKA) Maui Crew. Big Shout out - HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!
I remember the 1st Phone call we shared years ago, and it was Full on Stoke For Stoke For Us Both !

Kite:
Turns out Matt - JAW is working hard to advance Rc Surfing onto the mother ship of RCU.
I got a great email from him today on his idea to make a new thread that will be ALL our own with categories, like Canz thought of.

Lets all keep the stoke and respect for what Matt does, and not take offense if he (The Moderator)
feels he has to step in to keep things in the right direction, Heck I've been edited a few times at least.
But I respect Matts Judgement, and I know he is supporting Rc Surfing to the Max.

Like YPC states " Keep The Stoke"

There is more Growth stoke in Rc Surfing than any one individual or company could satisfy.
Good to know we have a few working to satisfy the questions and needs of others
to continue to build the hobby across the globe. Wombarra boards should be out soon too.
so there is a lot to enjoy moving forward. "There is no bad day Rc Surfing"

Hughengland.... I too wonder what the crescent cut outs do.

On NQD they have a very sharp edge rail so I filled them in with foam rounded the rails then glassed to get a softer rail mid length....ended up with a board that seems to surf better without grabbing an edge in turns but handles chop worse.... bounces more in chop but carves better in glass if that makes sense..... it also made self righting not so good.... I haven't touched the crescent cutouts on a kyosho foamy i have as the rails are not that hard...

I think the cutouts mean a lot otherwise why would the original dudes have put them in hey and very keen to see how surfcurls goes with his new one.

BTW I too am also looking forward to a more better site on RCU hopefully makeing it easier for us all to share and find info relateing to all apects of rc surfing like Cananzi tried to do a while back...

BTW again.... thanks Justaddwata for thinkin of us.

Curlz,
    Thanks, another year older, OUCH..
I remember the call, seems like it was a simpler time for RC Surfing back then.
You must be very excited about your new protype. Can't wait to see it in action.
Thanks again, Jock

Aloha Jef in Brazil,
Welcome - you have my kinda waves down there in Sao Paulo - thick & powerful.
Be nice to your photo buddy - so you can treat us to more of your great wave shots.

Today I had a good evening session in 4 to 6 ft rising North Swell beach break at a place called Ironwoods.
Tomorrow they are calling for 10-12ft - I work all day, then hope to get some big ones after work, MJ says he will join me.

Concept is good....the specs show that there is no zoom and the resolution is quite low...320 x 480

With no zoom...you would try to zoom in post production...but no resolution will leave you with a pretty bad image.

save your money for something a little better.

Hi to all - well I've been in drydock for a bit but just got done with a rebuild of my old faithful  surferdude. I did some suttle hull shape changes and a new paint job to make MJ happy ( He claimed I wasn't visible enough)  The paint actually looks more like a speedboat than a surfboard. That should make  Mr. Wata Happy. ( did we get a new title page ???
The big improvement  is the new custom built single stick 2.4 GHz , pistel grip 3 or 4 axis radio.  The stick has rudder by twist on the knob and control of the Dude and a 4th ( elevator  control with the stick movement.  Throttle is on the trigger in rear.  Hopefully give her a test tomarrow.  Welcome to to the new guys !!   Aloha, Karl

Ya Karl !
Crazy set up, Should be Epic.
It's hard enough for me to dial in turns & Throttle
on a simple 2 channel pistol grip.

One question for the Big Board Custom Pro Builders.

I'm running .150 flex cable, are you guys running .187 Cable ?
I'm using a step down from 3/16 to 1/8 for my props due to the size of the board.

If you are running .187 the prop must be 3/16 ?
That's some power...

Bless The East Coast, especially NY Subway System, They got way too much salt water at hand...

Curls-     Thanks bra !!    It is a bit of a challenge to do the hula with the guy and do the other 2 functions but you can get it down with a little practice, not as hard as it was with a 2 stick radio.    I use a 4mm( .157"   solid shaft and it jurnals down to 1/8" Dia. for the prop. But the Boys got bigger stuff.    KH
