I am not going to use cans on mine, but I can tell you that the header drop is 50mm and yes you can use the front exit tubes.

I dont have the box demensions on hand but I can get them. I can however say that you can get all 3 boxes in an 8 foot bed without a problem since thats the way I got mine home. Let me know if you still need the demensions.

Received my 42% Extra today. Serial # 22 . I order it last Wensday from TBM. First all, I bought this airplane with my own hard earned money, so I'm not sponsored or connected to Aeroworks in any way! I'm going to start a build thread here, and on the "other great site". I plan on reporting all the "goods" and "bads"(which looks like will be hard to find) of this airplane, from my stand point, so other modelers will know what to expect for their money.

It arrived is great shape, no doubt owing to the great packaging from Aeroworks! I've never seen an airplane better packaged for shipping. It sets the tone for the whole project. Upon opening the boxes(which took alot of work!!), I was blown away. This airplane is great! There is NOT A SINGLE wrinkle or flaw in the covering or the paint work. I'll be taking pictures tomorrow of all this ,and getting the thread started.

So far, I'm very impressed with what I see. Aerowork sure delivers a great first impression!

I'll be equipping as follows:

DA-150(can's or muffflers I'm still trying to decide)
All Fromeco equiped(on which I'm a dealer BTW if you need anything - I provide free shipping)
The new Wolvernie Switches
Tru-Turn 5" Spinner
12 - Hitec 5955's
2 - JR 955's RX's
SWB Arms
Hangar 9/Dubro Hardwar

I'm a firm believer in doing business with people that take care of their customers, so I buy everything I can thur Troy Built Models!

Glad to hear that yours arrived. Please feel free to post on here as I am sure everyone would like to see how these go together from , like you said an unbiased builder, I think you will be very impressed by how this plane goes together.

I got the stabs done today but the camera is still at Aeroworks Duoh! So I'll try and get the pics up tomorrow night.

Status: offline 		Here are a few pics of what I got done yesterday, My servos showed up so I figured I would get everything going as far as that goes. I am running 5955's as well, 2 per aileron, 1 per elevator and 2 on the rudder mounted in the tail. The cutouts for the rudder servos are already there and just need to be opened up. I also installed all of the control horns, since all of the holes are predrilled, this step is a snap!

More to come tomorrow.

Are you going to use the pushrods supplied? I plan on Hangar 9 as I like the easy of being able to adjust them without unhooking. I don't have my servos yet, so can you give me the hole(servo arm hole) to hole(where the bolt goes thur the control horn) lenght for the ailerons and elevators?

Status: offline 		Yes I am using the supplyed pushrods, I will also be using the carbon sleeve we provide to stengthin the pushrods. I will use the H9 links on the rudder however since we do not supply any in the kit for the rear rudder servos.
My servo arms will be the 1 1/4" arms supplyed with the servos and I will be in the outer most hole on the arms.
On the control horns for the wings I will be at the bottum hole on the root horn and the top hole for the tips as this compinsates for the taper of the wing.
I will be in the middle holes on the elevators.

I will post the Addendum later on today for what one needs to do.
The spinner size is 5" Tru Turn or Petes carbon will work fine.
Yes the hard point(s) do go up to the top of the surface for each servo.
We will hopefully have pics of the dashs posted on our website either today or tomorrow.

Johny,
If you have seen the dash panels for any of our other planes that should give you a good idea as to how they look. They are very high quality and fit perfectly inside.
As for the 6 screws, those will do fine, there is plenty of hard wood to hold them in place. Just remember to put some thick CA on the screw before you put it in to insure an even stronger joint.

Status: offline 		i have the dash panel for the 35% 260 fits perfect so the 42% should too. I was thinking like a 5.5 or maybe a 6 inch spinner would look better. but I don't think i have seen a 5.5 incher yet, maybe 6 incher would be pushing it.

Status: offline 		Well on with the build! I hope to get this thing finished this weekend, or very close to it, since the weather is supposed to be bad all weekend. We just got in our new pilots heads and since they look SO good I just had to have one! Check it out! More pics to come tomorrw.
