Well guys since these are on their way to many of you I thought we would start a build/discussion thread on them. I just finished unpacking mine and I'll have pics up later tonight or tomorrow.

Mounting your motor and cutting your cowl will never be easier! The supplied engine templets fit many of the popular motors on the market today! And with the cowl cutting templates there is no more nervousness when cutting your cowl, two templates are provided one for mufflers and another for cannisters/pipes!

Hi Mark, I got my 260 today. I haven't had a chance to unpack it yet, but thanks for getting it here so quickly. I do have a question. I have been reading the manual, it states it is ready for cannisters or pipes. It looks like it only shows installing cannisters in the instructions. Will full length pipes require some modifications to fit in the fuselage. Thanks again I will be looking forward to the build along.

Full length pipes will need some additional sheeting but other than that they should go in just fine. Post here if you have any questions on the build or to update your progress, it would be nice to see others 260 builds as well.

Mark,

A little info need on the servo setup. I'm going to order one tomorrow, but wondering what everyone is doing for servo setup. One or two per stab, 2 or 3 per wings, and can I run just two(I'll be running 5955's thur out) direct drive in the tail, on the rudder? Look forward to building and flying another great Aeroworks product...Jim

Jim,
My setup will be as follows:
2 Per aileron
1 Per elevator
2 for the rudder in the tail.
All will be 5955's and should work very well.

Mark,

Thanks for the fast reply. Will you be mounting the elev. servo inboard or outboard? I understand that you'll be running two direct drive in the tail for the rudder, and not pull-pull? Will there be any CG problem if I mount 2 servos per elev. half, plus the two in the tail for the rudder? I'll more than likely install can's in it so that will help add a little weight to the nose. I'll be placing my order with TBM in the morning, so hold one for me!

Thanks Jim
