Forgot to ask, what make is the T34 model, my wife is showing interest! I think all these years of tank geekery are rubbing off on her, so thinking about buying her a T34 (I'll mod it and play with it of course!) to duel with my Tiger - she thinks the T34 looks cool and hates the Sherman so... worth a try.

cheers
Fiddy

WSN make the RC T34

Un modded it's the best runner I've got and modding it only makes them better

Yep, the T-34 is a good looking tank. Here is my WSN 1/16:

Why is it that the T-34 looks like it was designed for nothing but pure nasty business, the business of blowing up other tanks?

It has such a purposeful, sinister look to it. In no way were they trying to make it look esthetically pleasing but they succeeded in doing that anyway.

Masterful design on the tracks for instance. The roadwheels are roadwheels and track return rollers at the same time.

They had such mastery in the T-34-85, so much so that this tank has been emulated ever since its introduction...
Brilliant.

I know what you mean. I think thinking objectively... the T34 for its time must have been the best all round tank. Yes other tanks had better armour or a better gun, but as a package; mobility, firepower, armour and ease of manaufacture, cost, reliability, quantity available.

It was unbeatable.

You could probably still buy a real surplus one for the prize of a Mark 1 or Armortech model tank!
