heres the thing.I just bought a eflite mini pulse .I am going with a 40 amp speed controland the motor is an eflite 480.I know rocket power lol..but I am totally baffled about which batteries to use.they are expensive and I appreciate all that.neverthe less I am supposed to use a 2100 3sp .are the 20c packs all the same .does a great planes compare favorably with thunderpower.with thunderpower do I go to an extreme battery with higher bursts or just use the prolite.man this is frustrating.please give me some good advise on getting the batteries.

It depends on what you want out of the plane really..

The optimum setup is the most power available to the least amount of weight..

A lil' research will do you well..

I guess my concern is do I need a 3cell pack with 1500 or 2100..is the big difference in flight time.i wont be doing extreme or hard wide open flying the entire time.doesnt mean I fly slow either ...something in between..will the 20 c run cooler than 15..and I guess my other concern is willthey run cooler at higher level..I dont want to start out and find I should have had bigger packs..

If they reccomend a 3S 2100, I would go 3S 2100.. a 15C would do you fine, if you are not planning on being a 3D full throttle monster with it..

Yeh, you could pick up one of our wall chargers for around $14 bucks..

http://www.commonsenserc.com/product_info.php?cPath=38_28&products_id=34

It will charge at 1amp which would be ~.5C of your 2100 pack, so it would take a little longer, but for the price, it's hard to beat..

Normally you'd charge the 2100 at 2.1amps or 1C, however charging at 1amp will take longer but your battery pack will love you for it..
