ORIGINAL: CTDave Hi been doing this stuff since I was 10 going on 55 now.How many remember the cox control line fliers with the short lines that made us dizzy and sick? I HAD A COX CONTROL LINE WHEN I WAS ABOUT 10 and i remember trying to get it started and the first time i flew it that was it !!!! over 40 years later still hooked on all the rc toys I m like a big kid locked in 1975!!! Try 50 and refusing to "grow up" You know men and boys and the price of their toys! LOL. Started with the Cox control line planes and had one of the Cox dune buggies. Got into nitro boats in 1977 and built a few of them from wood kits. Never got out of the hobby but got tired of having to drive to a lake to run. In the mid 90's bought a RC 10GT and have beem hooked on nitro cars and trucks since then. Currently have a 1/10 scale custom built wire framed sprint car, R10GT, HPI Nitro RS4 Racer 2, HPI Savage SS, Ofna Blazer SST, And my latest a Revo with a big block conversion and a STS D30M for motavition. Two of my sons 18, and 25 also each have two nitro vehicles and to top it off my dad who is 70 bought a Revo a couple of years ago and now has a JATO also. We all run together when possible. I think this hobby keeps you young at heart and is a great way to get away from day to day stress or pressure. If you are not smelling nitro fumes and listening to the sweet song your not LIVING!!
