You need to probably try the drift tires, because the car isn't supposed to be fast, just torqy so you can get that wheel spin.

Which battery are u using? I bought a Himoto and when I first ran it with the stock battery it was very slow. I change the battery to a venom 7.2v 3000mah and wow what a difference.

I had fun putting electrical tape over the stockers and drifting with that.. Now that i have a new motor I can drift without the electrical tape on those tires.

Ultra, Can you get a Vid of Your TT-01 in action as something is Severly wrong..

Here is magnats TT-01 STOCK (Alloy propshaft and Bearings only)

http://media.putfile.com/Lost--my-Mind

All He Uses is Polypipe Tyres

(Yes he did write the music using his PC and a game Called Music 2000)

Believe it or not but the Lancer shell in his Vid used to be a HBX Lancer..

Look you need to chill out!

The TT01 is a toy, with hobby grade electronics. If you wanted something fast you should've bought a TA05. For drifting a TT01 is a great gateway, and it is there to be modified. If you've driven only a nitro car before, you could've expected the TT01 to be slower. It was built for the kids who grow out of the Tamiya Quickdrive cars.

A TT01 is the slowest Tamiya hobby-grade car you can get. But for fun and reliability, it is one of the best.

Chris.

The TT-01 drifts fine stock but you do need to use the right tires. If you use the rubber radials that came with the kit then of course its not going to slide.

Hold on, and new battery is NOT a charged battery. Make sure you charge it before you use it! Thats my 2 cents

The TT-01 drifts fine with some minor mods, i have the TT-01-R which has the minor monds done in stock form.
Alum Shaft, Bearings. The all you needs i ABS tires and you can drift to the cows come home. I think you are trying to drift with rubber tires on.. get some ABS.... u dont need speed to drift.

have you tried the electrical tape idea, tell us how it goes when you put some drift wheels on there. You can get a set of 12 really cheap and tight fitting on ebay.
