Hello and thank you for any help,

I purchased a used Thunder Tiger FM-1e and have been tuning it to run it this spring. The former owner had trouble with the steering. After researching the topic, I purchased the Thunder Tiger steering dampener. My questions are three fold.
1) The dampener is not meant to replace the steering linkage, is it?
2) Has anyone had success using this hardware?
3) How did you mount it?

My current thought is to use a suggestion I found on the internet that uses a servo horn and two light weight springs as a replacement for the original poly tube setup.

the TT damper is a replacement for the fuel tube & rods. a spring should be inside and outside the damper, along with some light oil.

use some ball joints to connect the servo horn to headset.

I raced with this system for a while with np. but i moved to the NF rod and double spring for easyer set up. the damper works fine but if you have the alloy one use two grub scews and some thread lock.

Revese the steering as well so turning the stick right will turn the wheel left. these bike counter steer.

I have the electric Ducati and want a better steering set up as well. Can you tell me where you got your dampener? And once you got it set up how much improvement was it from the fuel tubing. Im running that now and have gotten pretty good with it. But I just installed a 19x2 motor and have a little head shake now coming out iof turns if I throttle up too soon. Ive heard that a dampener will help this. Also I want to swap out the tires, the triangle fron tire is pretty funky. I found some PMT 100's which are mediums. Is this a good all around tires for parking lot playin? Thanks
