Last xmas i bought myself an heng long tigerI and I would like to start working on it, but since I have NO EXPERIENCE in modeling I should start with something simple... any suggestions?

I would also appreciatte advises on wich materials I should buy...

What do you want to do with it? I would buy a smoke and sound kit for spare parts and upgrade to metal tracks for starters, then gearboxes. Then you can do some modeling- no not runway modeling, work on your tank! Rotate the pistol port to the proper position, Rotate the Commanders Cupola if there's not too much glue up there, flip the mantlet and lengthen the gun barrel, relocate the antenna, etc. Your desires and wallet are the limit!

Do you have pictures of the correct position for the pistol port and commander cupola? I hould be very thankfull...

No. The pistol port is simply rotated 90 degrees left. You can find pictures of the cupola on this and other tank forums. Some people went so far as to relocate the visor windows too.
