If my old OS .15 CV-X can shread gears in the trans. Then a .18 will show them no mercy. Just wait until the shred up, clean out the transmission casing inside and out and install new gears.

Yea this forum has some helpful people on it. If you log on here a lot u will learn who knows a lot stuff and who just throws in their 2 cents. This is probably one of the best sites for nitro trucks I've ever been on. Also before I forget, when you open up your transmission, look at the bearings it has inside on the walls of it. If it looks like a brass washer(also called a "bushing" , get that out of their and invest in some transmission bearings. Bearings make life 10x easier, and the only REAL time u would use the bushings is when you are driving on sand a lot(they don't have the small balls in them to get messed up.) Also you may find bushings in the front wheels, which is fine if you are bashing around the yard, but if u ever plan on racing replace those with bearings.

Links to the bearings(if u don't already have them):

Now, Ive been out of the hobby for a bit and haven't cruised Towerhobbies.com that much. I THINK those bearings up there^^^^ will work for the RC10GT correct? Because I think those are the ones I have in mine.

it will be soon with the CVR ! !

Don forget to use a lot of grease on the gears too, the RRP parts come with some, and while your at it rebuild the diff, using associated diff grease.

I'm also waiting on diff/engine parts.... luckily I don't have to worry about gears (yet), I'm only running a OS 12cv lol.. I did port/polish it though, so we'll see...
