hi,

i have two fuse of Q40 Vendetta, and i want made a pair of wing,
but i do not know the airfoils. I have only section of wing (see image)

please helpme.

Fabionet.

It depends on which Vendetta your taking about

If it is a Vanbaren´s Vendetta the airfoil is SD6060 I think.

Ifi it is a Larsons Vendetta, there are 2 or 3 versions with different airfoils.

From the image your posting this seems to me as a Naca 66-112 which is the airfoil of a third Vendetta which exists some time ago (Known as Vendetta Matrix) but I cant recall who the designer was.

Anchio sono in un altro forum di Q40 a cercare il profilo , a quello che mi sembra di aver capito dall'amico Victor Arreoal ci sono piu' edizioni del profilo per il Vendetta .......Niente toglie che se qualcuno sa' qual'è il piu' performante di usarlo.....chiediamo..

FABIO THAT AIRFOIL IS SD6060, VAN VAREN´S VENDETTA OR MISS ASHLEY.

THE FAST Q40 AIRPLANE IS THE AUSTRALIAN POLECAT, IT HAS A MH24 AIRFOIL.

YOU CAN USE THE ITALIAN AIRFOIL SOFTWARE PROFILI TO GET THE AIRFOIL COORDINATES, IF YOU CAN´T SEND ME A MAIL
AND I WILL SEND IT TO YOU.

The Vendetta holds the current National record in Q40, and has done quite well in the past few nats. I'm still not sure why more racers don't fly them, but they are completely capable of keeping up with the Polecats.

Nothing against the Polecat, I love that plane also. There is just something about how the Vendetta flies that keeps bringing me back.

I've flown all three airfoils, and honestly, can't tell the difference. The newest airfoil that Lyle is using has worked well for me.

Check out the Winners of the last Q40 contest

- 3 Vendettas in the first 10 spots (one of them the one setting the new national record)
- 3 Polecats
- 2 Proud Birds (Larson)
- 1 Proud Bird (Jim Allen)
- 1 GR-7 (BBR)

Many thanks Racers for help we ..

My original wing that I have used to build the mould (in agreement with Lyle ,only to begin Q40 in Italy) ( which was in the kit Lile vendetta) , is similar to SD6060(over) but not equal, I do not know that airfoil is exactly

,however thanks to your helps i want tested the SD6060 . (foam cnc to not spend a lot .......)

I haven't piloted others Q40 models, but the Q40 Vendetta with which i flight (and my friends), fly truly much good !!!!

(The red Vendetta in immage , I had given To Paolo Mucedola (my Pylon's BIG FRIEND) for Phoenix 2007 .......but said to me have broken in landing

)

I think that i build a new Vendetta for Paolo M. with airfoil SD6060

I think the airfoil on Lyle's first Vendetta was an Eppler 374, but I'm not 100% sure.
