Sure that will work.
It is just a little more weight.
I use a full size Hitec receiver and full size servos.

Just make sure you put the receiver in the foam and not in front of the battery in the tray. The battery on a crash will destroy the receiver.

A flash five is what I use.
You can set up some expo and it will help with slow handling.

I also edited my first post. Reread it.

Thanks guys...
One more thing...
In the instructions it shows the Rx being off center to the left... Is this right?

That's how my RX is.
I centered the connectors under the tray.
I cut out the tray in that area so I could plug everything in.
Run your antenna wire through the left wing foam out the left side.
I just let the extra hang off the end of the left wing.

I have a Futaba Super 7 Digital Radio... I have never used the "Expo"... What should I be setting the expo up to do? What is the expo for?

With expo you can make the movements at the center of the sticks softer. So, when you first start to move your stick, the control surface move less at first. But when you move your stick a lot you still get the full deflection of your control surfaces.
So small movements of the stick don't make your plane jerk around.
I hope that makes some sense.
