I have seen some dealers in Germany has started offering the new Ascom/Technisport Hayabusa 2.4ghz 2 channel system

Has anyone tried that system?
Price in Germany is around €80 (Aprox US$ 100)

Looks like a nice entry level radio. What this shows could be the end of "Crystal based MHz" radios. Radio companies have fought for years to keep the few channels open in the bands but with low end open ISM band radios how much longer will the radio companies spend the time energy, money and effort when they can produce radios like this?

I have an acoms fm 40 mhz 4 channel radio that looks exactly the same as the one pictured here, i bought it a last year on rcmart but they never carried it anymore, i absolutely love it i ended up buying 6 more receivers for it, sold my 3pm and have my hi tech link 3d sitting around collecting dust, the biggest problem with acoms is getting a place to buy them online , i have searched and can't find my exact radio anywhere, it is a hayabusha technisport model, like i said it's 40 mhz fm and i don't have a problem using it in my country. Any info on where to get one is higly appreciated

The Hyabusa is sold as Carson/acoms in Germany, and they can often be found cheap at http://www.ebay.de

I haven't seen anymore about the 2.4ghz version, nor has I seen it online since then. List price is € 129 or around US$ 150... and at that price I would rather add a bit more, and get one of the proved brands.

Hi I'm using the acoms hayabusa 2,4 GHz on my CEN TR4 onroad car and soon on my HPI savage x 4.1 and even though it's only and 2 channel system transmitter, it's really great, but those who drive traxxas cars with reverse gearbox well they can't use it, but this is the best system that I have ever had, the transmitter is a little bit bigger than other transmitter, but i lighter and lay perfect in you hands.
It's easy to use, and it have all the settings that you need.

Overall : it's a cheap and great solution for those who can't aford a spektrum system or one of the other more expencive systems.

Hope you can read and understand my answer, and I hope that it helps
