Check the needle valves, run the engine for the first time by opening the high speed needle valve by three to five full turns, idle needle valve should be set flush with the cap of the throttle arm, use your glow igniter, start the engine and take care to no go over 4,000 rpm. Burn 10 oz. of fuel at this setting, then start to lean the high speed needle valve, find a spot where you can see that it is gaining revs., and you can be able to take out the glow igniter while the engine keeps running, go close to 6,000 to 7,000 rpm at full throttle, let it run 10 more oz, then lean it again trying to gain 1,000 more revs. Do not touch the idle needle valve until the engine is fully broken in. I hope this can be of help.
