One thing I forgot to mention, I have the engine mounted inverted and when I fuel up the carb gets flooded with fuel ( is this normal)?
Thanks,
Frank

If the carb is below the tank, yes.

Thank guys for your quick reply. I`m new to Saito and 4 strokes. If using wildcat or Omenga 15%, do I need to add castor oil to the fuel or do these brands contain enough?
thanks,
Frank

The WildCat Premium Extra has 18% lube with 80/20 syn/castor blend, I have been using it for 16 years, no lost bearings or other issues.

This can also cause tuning issues

Hi Guys,
I`m only getting about 8500 with stock muffler and 15%, but I`v only run about a 2 tanks thru. When I lean the low speed needle how will that effect wide -open proformance?
Thanks,
Frank

Your engine needs more time on it. Follow the instructions and you will have a good and powerful engine.

Won't affect hi end UNLESS you lean low end so much that you can't richen the hi end, due to the spraybar being closed off. Always check that you can richen the hi speed after leaning the low end. I ran a new 91 the other day and was able to get a 2500 idle after 20 ounces at rich 5000 RPM. I wouldn't try for any better until you run it some more. Was able to adjust hi to about 8900 with 14/6 apc.

My Saito 100 with 5 gallons of 20/20 presently using a Evolution 14x8 gives me 9200 at sea level.

Use to only get 8850 before I got the valves adjusted.

Yes the valves were adjusted by a friend/club member who owns U-Fly Hobbies at the Allaire Airport (a well deserved "plug" . He (Jim) used the little black feeler gauge that originally came with the engine. Some guys use a crisp dollar bill. It looked a little tricky to do and I couldn't explain how to do it even though there's instructions but I can tell you it made a big difference in the performance - like I said before from 8800 to 92 or 9300 and I'm still seeing a stream of smoke at full throttle so I know I'm not too lean......even today when it was 90 degrees and humid. I've never had it done cause I thought "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". That was until last week when I saw this thread and others with all these posts saying they are getting rpm readings in the low to mid 9000's. I also learned from him that an engine actually unloads about another 1000 rpm in the air. For some reason, I always thought it was only from 200 to 400 more. I think it will help the "fuel guzzling" that's associated with your Saito 125 as well as the rpm lift.
Good luck.
