Quick question for you --
I and my friends have been running quite a few 5945 servos for awhile now (several seasons) without any issues. I recently picked up a set of 5985's for the ailerons on a 35% Extra (2 per surface), since the tried & true 5945's are no longer available. I see in the new Hitec ad in the magazines that the 5985's have a bronze bushing in the servo case tops as continued product improvement..... that's a good!

My question is - would the servo case tops from the 5985's happen to fit on the 5945's? Just curious.... if they do fit, I might consider "upgrading" my 5945's with the new case tops. As I said, I've had zero problems with the 5945's, but I'm not against "betterment". Guess since I do have both servo types onhand that I could just try it and see.... but I'd just as soon ask the experts!!

If they do happen to fit, next question would be - are the bushings included with the 5985 case 'set', or are they a separate item?

Thanks for the info!!

BJH

I'll have to inquire as to the compatibilty of the case top interchange between the 5945 and 5985, I'll report back ASAP.

The new 5985 case tops include the bronze bushes.
