I'm setting up a 1/3 Pitts.

What's a simple, effective way to check my on-board 6.0v Rx pack without taking the plane apart between flights?
I'd really like to get away from the Voltwatch.

Does someone make a jack that I can install on the plane, to plug a BR-2000 into or something?

Get one of the heavy duty switches that has a integrel charge jack in the switch plate and mount a second switch where you can access the charge port on it. Use either a heavy duty short Y to connect the second switch to the battery or if you are comfortable with soldering solder a second lead on to the battery pack. Stick the other end into any empty slot on the receiver or Y it into a servo port using the same thing as the battery.

With that you get your external checking port plus the safety of a redundant switch.

Or you can just get one of the small mounting deals that will hold the charge lead from your battery pack. Can't remember exactly what they call them as I've gone to HD switches with the port built in, but I think the ones I used on my glow powered planes were made by Ernst?

This is the Futaba model which accomodates those plugs with the small blade on them, or they make another one for JR stuff without that capability...

Do you know this on-board system? There are a model for the 4.8 and other for the 6.0 volts batery. There's also a more expensive one that has a switch and works both 4.8 and 6.0V.
It's easy to find it in Portugal, so in the US... I'me sure any store will have one.
Hope I helped you

Eduardo
