Most 4 stroke users are going with Saito 72 or 82. Best power to weight ratio out there... 2 strokes that seem popular are the OS 46AX and 55AX. Engine prefrence runs a plenty. Good luck.

Is that right for the 67" version? I thought it said .91 - 1.10 4 stroke.

I'm using a YS 110. The color could be taken off with a heat gun and some thinner to remove the color that's left on the white.

Oops, I'm sorry... Yes, those engines that I mentioned were for the smaller (52 inch) fusion. Sorry. Good luck with yours.

What I meant was to remove all the covering, to the bare wood.

Good point, we have sold lots of all white versions without any real covering issues. Not sure but they may be all sold out now. But the white base covering on the trimmed out models is the same.

I bought the white china cote version, as I stated in an earlier post. I just thought the covering was too brittle for me and it pulled off leaving the white still on the balsa. I like the ultra cote because it seems to have a little "stretch" to it. I also wanted to check all of the glue joints. Looks to be a great plane, can't wait to get it in the air.

I've seen a few photos with wheel pants installed and I like the look. Does the ARF come with those, or are people buying those from someone else?

Don't believe they do. Mine did not. I think some people are using the Great Planes version, maybe from a U Can Do or something like that.

I don't have an ARF so I was just guessing since I had seen a lot of planes with them. I could be way off base.

The ARF does not come with wheel pants but I agree they look cool on the Fusion. OMP does sell wheel pants separately but I'll make a spontaneous offer right now that if you order a Fusion via phone just ask John to throw in a set of wheel pants into the ARF box. Tell him Mike said so! haha

Can I still get some free? My box arrived today. I'll start adding my own color scheme tomorrow. I haven't decided on the bottom yet, but the fuse will look something like this...

Hey TJR1 if you want to pay for shipping sure we'll send you a set. Heck, we sell them for only 5 bucks a set anyway. They are very lightweight fiberglass. Nothing super fancy but still add a nice touch to the Fusions. You could even paint them to match the fuselage striping.

Send them my way! I'll have to wait a few weeks to finish anyway. I ordered the OS 1.20AX from the LHS today and I go back to work for a week on Teusday. I should have some pics this evening of my progress so far. It's looking good.

That looks great! Nice colors! Is that a re-cover or a kit?

Thanks. It's the basic white ARF, I just added the red, black, and silver. I haven't completely decided how I'm doing the wings yet, but I know the bottom will have a three color checkerboard.

Thanks. It doesn't look quite as good close up. I've only done about a dozen covering jobs. I hate doing tips, and stabs are worse than wings.

All right, done except for the engine and radio . Probably my best covering job to date. I need three hands to do wing tips .

Ditto, very nice indeed! Did you hand cut all the checkerboard on the bottom?
