You'll love this plane. I flew Rob Teseo's last year and was vey surprised at how stable it flew, it felt like a bigger plane.
Good luck with it.

Thanks Albert I hope so. I have a DA 50 in it, Hitec 5955's all the way around, SWB servo arms, Tru Turn Spinner with the light back plate and many more nice features. I believe the weight will be 16 pounds or just a hair more.

Bob, Actually a friend of mine built it for me, I wish I could build but it's not my thing at this time. He just weighed it today and told me we are at 16 pounds 10 ounces. Still has to be painted but we will stay under 17 poundsno problem I believe. The builder did his on tricks to lighten it up and we had the LG milled too. I also bought titanium axles. The spinner is a Tru Turn with a lightened back plate and we only used one battery for the receiver. We had hoped to stay at or under 16.5 pounds but did'nt make it. It's still light so I'm very happy with it. My Wild Hare Edge was just over 18 pounds I believe so this will be great! Do you have one and if so whats your weight?

That will fly really well at that weight, I had a Double Vision that was close to that weight; outfitted with a DA 50cc and it was a blast to fly. I do not have a Cuda but I am considering one or maybe a 35% Carden 260.

I've heard alot of great things about the Cuda so I'm pumped! I wish I could find some video of one but can't seem to anywhere. From what I hear it's a great 3D plane.

That would be cool Wayne! I'm actually going to let Lee maiden it though. I felt after all the work he has done for me that would be cool. It's his first Carden build and it's like his baby. I thought it would be a proud moment for him. I'm still a fairly new pilot too and I'm still just trying to learn the basic 3D stuff. It's starting to come to me as far as having a natural feel for certain things and alot of things are happening now without me having to think about inputs so thats good but I am really far from where i want to be. Heck, I would love for you to come out for the maiden and take it up yourself after Lee does. That would really tell the story as far as the plane goes, it would atleast allow me to see it's strong areas. My hands still shake at times so that tells you where I'm at as far as flying goes. I was getting pretty brave at times last year with my Edge but I'm still scared to death at times and seem to not fly the best with alot of people around. I know thats something to get over and soon but it happens. It seems like everytime the big guys are there I fly the worse! Sucks at times. Other times I'm there and pulling off cool tricks and can't do no wrong for my skill level like knife edge snaps or holding a hover and so on. I'm getting the feel hovering with some of my electrics so I hope to get it with the Cuda or my Fusion this season. With the belly at me it really does'nt mess me up like it once did now too. I still can't hold it very long though. Harriers still give me a hard time but the Edge had alot of wing rock. Rolling harriers is really what I want to do but I just can't seem to get it. Slow rolling circles I got last season using rudder and elevator finally, before when I was learning I only used elevator. I really want to progress this season so badly I can taste it but I guess thats what we all want.

You have a lot of great guys up by you who canhelp you get where you want with your flying.
Im sure all you need is just to burn more gas. Its pretty much the key for all of us.

I'd love to fly the Cuda when its all finished.

There is alot of great people at our club like Lee, Lew, Terry and Walt and they're all very helpful. I think you're right about burning fuel though, thats the key. As far as the Cuda goes all you have to do is show up and it's in your hands. I'll let you know when we are going to maiden it unless it's a last minute thing so you can be there and if not for the maiden I'll be sure to bring it out when I know you'll be there.

Wayne, Walt is still very busy so Lee took the Cuda to another awsome Carden builder today for the paint. Should be done in a week or so I would imagine. Love to have you here at the Wheeler field to give it a spin.
If anyone has some video of the Cuda I'd like to see it.
