G'Day Mart, Doug and bentley,

Thanks guy's I like the red too. I might do the next one blue Mart.

bentley, I may not beat you to water, I still have to sort out the motor, I have a Homelite with air cooled head and a spare head with water jacket. No hardware yet, thinking of using a top secret stinger drive and a Voodoo 6717. or x670/3 , x482 or ???
I don't know much about props!!

The best prop I've found for mine is an ABC 3014. The X470/3 is a good general purpose prop. An X482 may work well too. I tried a Voodoo 6717 on mine and it didn't work well at all. Everyone else seems to love the 6717 tho. I've never used anything but a Zenoah in mine so I'm not sure my opinion means much for props on your boat. Doug

Thanks Doug,

I expect to try a few different props anyway, and in the end it will have a zen in it.

Where would I find ABC props? Cheers Glen

Hi jacob711 , Yep just a pressure pack ( a large one! ) it is engine enamel, heat and fuel proof! and it's not red any more, I changed it to orange

Decide what motor before getting a prop, Homelites like big props, Zenoahs smaller ones. Couple of props will work with ether, prather 275 or ABC 3014.

try the prather 280 if you can get one thats what im running and this thing is fast for a weedy id say shes now over 35 ,mph but thats a guess i had her gps,d at 35 a week ago though but after some tuning from a guy i met at the lake yesterday i couldnt beleive the diff it made .Bentley every man and his dog will beat you to the lake,so stop making excuses and get her wet!!! .by the way he also thinks my weedy is a zen so that might explain why shes faster than i had hoped!!.

MrMikeG
I will be considering the 275, 280 and 3014. I will post pics of engine choices later tonight .

Mart,

There is a guy on ebay selling a couple of dozen props at the moment, I'll go and check and see what he has!

Does it matter if I go from 1/4in flex shaft to 3/16 prop shaft, or should I stay at 1/4in flex and prop shaft??

Glen

by the way as said a weedy has less rpm but has torque so a bigger prop will give the best speed so id stick to 80 mm props prather 280 or octura x 482 would be good choices to start i think leave the 270 and 275 for the zens!!.just seen the carb what carb is it? do you know the diameter of the air intake hole?.
