Default Copter x purchase (Trex 450se clone)

I recently purchased a Copter x heli from eHirobo. The quality is excellent, its a bare bones kit that came assembled, in a large aluminium case. The only problems I encountered are the fact that most parts are not loctited. It would be better if these kits were not assembled as they will have to be disassembled and checked anyway.
The only differences I found compared to the Trex450 se are that the landing gear is wider on the Copter x, and seems to be of softer plastic, (well compared to my 450xl anyway) the metal part of the battery mount, and the motor mount are anodised in the same colour as the rest of the head parts, and the frame screws, etc, are stainless, hex headed and seem to be very hard metal, (I have heard the Trex450 se ones are quite soft).
One more thing, the one way bearing has "nsk" stamped on it which hopefully means its of good quality? It certainly feels very smooth. Almost forgot, the main gear is not bad regarding roundness, and up and down movement, much better than my 450xl which is all over the place, up and down, in and out etc.
The bare bones heli and aluminium case cost $250, which I reckon is great value.

Well my digital camera isn't great, so perhaps if you check out the Walkera website forum; http://www.walkera-heli.com/forum/vi...r=asc&start=90 There is a discussion there about it (its not made by Walkera by the way!)
If the url does not work just try the Walkera website and look for the forum from there; http://www.walkera-heli.com
Hope this helps

I've heard good things about the CopterX... Based on word of mouth, it sounds like a good heli...

It is a good heli.. I have had the Proto for sometime now.. all parts are compatible with the TREX 450SE heli its iterchangeable.. and the parts are of good quality.. yes its not made by walkera.

For the people looking for a cheaper SE heli its the best one out in the market...

i checked out their site and if anything, they are a better source for trex parts as well. about half the cost of align aluminum parts. i might actually be able to put some more aluminum on my trex

You can get them from USHobbysupply. The owner is a member on RCU and has very good customer service. Other RCU members I know buy from him all the time and I do too. http://www.ushobbysupply.com/product...2ad0121f4c6c4f You still need the electronics for the helicopter because it is a kit. The biggest size that I know of is a 450, but I think CopterX also has a smaller version.

I bought my SE-V2 from Heli brothers for $205 shipped.
I love it!
Steve the owner was very helpfull during assembly. I had a ton of questions.
He loves to fly helis as much as we do.

I just sold off my HDX300 to get a CopterX out of my inventory. My wife would not let me have another heli, so I sold one as to keep the count the same. Ha, got to be creative sometimes!

Cant wait till I get the time to build it

For a limited time, we are throwing in 2 extra sets of wood blades with every CopterX purchase. Just mention RCUniverse in the comments of your order, and presto, the blades are included!

Hey Stump,
Yah, got sidetracked on the Walkera#4 conversion to HBFP head to use the XTREME metal head, but have the CopterX set aside. Also, I need servos and a gyro to complete the CopterX. Its a matter of discipline to stay out of the stock and actually purchase the items from my store. Keeps the accountant happy and does not goof the inventory
