Oh baby! Parkzone just announced the Typhoon...2! not the catchiest name in the world, but it's the plane that matters.

http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=PKZ4300

I am officially physched to buy this. I'll probably replace the Typhoon 1 (Yeah, it's demoted!) with this. Can't wait. Oh Man. Can't wait.

PS: It has 3 wire digital servos!

It's hard to be excited over a rtf but if they've made improvements to the original they should sell well.

Digital servos is impressive in an RTF. I wonder if they are the JR DS285's.

Hey digital servos, almost all non rtf 3d planes have them...... I don't get it why get so exited over an RTF 3d plane, 3d planes are for experienced pilots which means buy the time you have got experienced you should have aqquired some good gear so why the need for RTF? and besides if you have already worked you way thorugh a bunch of RTF's you will have a big stack of crummy RTF radios and chargers getting on your nerves and you will have spent more money then you would have if you had just invested in some proper gear.

Ummmmmm... we own other planes. Andl for one thing digital servos don't "come" with the non rtf planes...that would be an ARF, which is only the plane.

PS:Nebukatnizar, SFG mean Side Force Generators. (The vertical stabs attached to the wings.)

i at least agree with this statement... rtf's are a godsend for newbies. For a cheap price they can see if they have the desire to pursue the hobby... from their first rtf they can purchase a radio and gear that will live on well past the first plane they reside in.

ya digital servos are cool but i think they should have saved weight instead, maybe take off the stickers and paint it, i mean its not a precision plane, and most experienced pilots are probably arent going to go out and buy it, so most of the nubies wouldnt be able to tell the difference if it was digital or not.

True, but I recall a certain elevator servo that was notorious for stripping and going bad.

But making it a digital servo won't mean it won't strip. It could just as easilly have the same gear train as the old servos.

I'm not meaning to bash Horizon or Parkzone. I have a Parkzone Stryker (the ORIGINAL!) and it flies great. However, I've had quality issues with it, as has my friend who also has one. Mostly radio problems, and servos stripping. If you're gonna get into this hobby, it's much cheaper and easier to get proper gear rather than RTF stuff. I hate bringing my Stryker to the field, just to realize I've left its transmitter at home.

Well they fixed most of the OG Typhoons problems.

BTW Any tips for installing a DX6 in my typhoon? Servo mixing for ailerons? Will the PZ servos work with the DX6's rx?
