Hi!
have anyone put a full size dv cam on a 60in plane?
i dont want to use wireless cam due to low quality. i am thinking of a real cam.
the plane is h9 p47 60in and about 9 pounds.
the cam weights about 1.2 pound and the engine is os 90fs .
i am thinking to place it instead the canopy.
i noticed that the engine have much power and with full fuel on the plane it is easy to take off.parhaps if i put less fuel to compensate the more weight of the cam?
any sugestions?

You might be pushing the weight limits on a 60" aircraft. Before commiting your camcorder to this, experiment first by adding a 1.2 pound weight were the camcorder will be placed. If the aircraft flies fine with the extra weight, then replace the weight with the camcorder.

One piece of advice. DON'T CRASH! That might get very expensive.

I just bought a cam from Sharper Image for 129.00. This thing has 640x480 VGA resolution up to 30 frames a second, waterproof up to 3 meters, 32 mb internal memory, expandable upto 2GB with an SD card. (1 hour recording time at highest resolution) Uses 2 AA batterirs, comes with several mounts, straps, etc. It saves the file as an AVI format. It can even record sound if you like. The website is http://www2.oregonscientific.com/shop/product.asp?cid=8&scid=107&pid=709 for all the other info. It weighs about like a D size battery or less...
