Plz help guys, i took my heli (concept 30 dx) out of storage other day intending to start learning to hover again, after about 10 years, replaced all batteries but noted the blades have seen better days, any idea were i can get the blades from, they are the 515mm with thin ends and a round metel washer embedded in them. All blades i can find are thicker and wont fit my heli, im scared to fly her as if i break blades im stuffed without any new ones. Many thanx, i really want to get into fly again

Best of luck in your search. As far as I remember most blades like carbons and most glass blades would be too heavy for a head with no thrust washers like the original Concept head and nobody I'm aware of makes those blades these days. You can try eBay.

Give Trevor a ring at Midland. He stocks em. Have a look at the 4th or 5th down. You can even fit the whole head from the later SR models to fit modern blades.

Yeah, Midland has stocks on the later heads. All you need is one from a later Concept like the SR or SRT. Similar design, but has better grips with proper thrust bearings. And will accept the wider blade roots.

If your concept is one of the first DX's they are getting to be collectors items now. And can return quite a lot of money on ebay from a collector. Might be time to upgrade to a newer heli?

thanx mate i will check midland out for the sr or srt head, see wot he charges. Yeah it is one of the original dx`s in really good condition, apart from the starter cone needing replacing soon, like now. will the sr or srt cones fit the dx? It has got good blades on it but the covering is a bit flakey, and i just want new blades for wen i start practising again so i know i have new ones if i topple it over. Wot u recommend as another heli mate? I also have a junior 50 about as old as my concept, just bought a new canopy 4 it after a long search but last time i tried 2 fly it i found it hard, as im just a begginer. Are the raptors good? I would like a bigger more responsive heli that u can get spares for. I looked on ebay for the concept dx`s like u said, my god they going for £170+ i was pleasently surprised. thanx again! Sorry if this is long, but its nice 2 chat 2 someone who knows bout the old concepts

No worries. I learnt to fly on the Concept DX. I still have an SR-T in the hanger as well as a Caliber 30 (pics attatched) If it's just the covering that's flaky, you can get new heatshrink for them. I've done the Concept's blades a few times now.

Have you got a simulator? They are excellent for getting back in the swing of things. I have Reflex XTR. It's so good it's almost real!

Nice looking helis Ian! Yeah have thought about getting heatshrink for them, but i really want a spare set of blades in case i break em, would hate to start flying (trying) again and to break the blades then be stuck without new ones. I just bought "CLEARVIEW" flight sim off net, £15 its ok, but nothing like the real thing, all i do is try to fly around inverted, its quite easy on it. I will check out the reflex sim on net. thanx again!!! Graham

The best of the free sims is FMS. Loads of heli's and planes, and not bat physics either.

Yeah i tried fms free sim, its ok, but i like the look of the phoenix sim, or the reflex ftr, just a lotta lolly for a sim, i could get a few spares for my heli`s for that price, (if i could find them) Think i will be getting a diff head on it so i can buy regular blades, if it dont cost too much.

Hello..
You can actually order blades directly from kyosho, They are a bit expensive (55,99$), but if you want the originale blades the order numer from shopatron It's not that many parts left for this Heli at kyosho, But Main gear are actually cheap. Some parts are the same for Concept SX.

Hope you get it back in the air..

I got it from my ORIGINALE parts list from Kyosho that got when i bought that heli. GREAT or what? The only problem is that it is in swedish, and my technical english is not that good. But if you wonder about other part's send a mail to me at heike73@bredband.net and i will try to help.
Or Better yet.. Try this link. Parts list Concept 30 DX It's to a zip file that is a direct download of the parts list with pictures from kyosho.
