Yes, it get's rid of the low range also. It actually makes the tranny very simple inside, a total of 4 internal gears...

I actually like reverse in some situations, it saves some walking.. but it would accelerate even quicker with the FOC installed....

You should be careful about getting it over 300 to often... I would think 270 at the end of the tank should be your max.

Yeah, that was a scew-up..

Before today it was never over 260.. But I wanted to run with the Savage, so I refilled up towards the end of one tank, had it cut out, and restarted hot. So instead of building up to about 265 thoughout one tank like it was doing on all the previous tanks, it built way up to 333, but this was like at the end of a continuous tank and a half of heavy-throttle driving - lots in tallish grass too... Was dumb, but instead of thinking that the temps were steadily building up, I just thought at the time, oh well max temp is 265 - didn't think it was an upward curve like that..

In any case, I pulled it over as soon as I heard that lean sputter, and shut it down 10 seconds later...

Yeah, you'll be outrunning Hot Mod Novarossi powered Savages after you install the FOC...

One consolation point for the Savage: with the wheelie bar it is the undisputed wheelie champ.....

Well here's a short update.. Took the LST2 and Muggy out today for a little bash.. Both stood up really well, considering my poor driving(at least at first...) My LST2 has REALLY been proving itself in the toughness dept - especially with the New Era rollbar..

I included some clips that make me look bad, but make the LST2 look good.. It held up well...

Nothing broke on the LST2 - though the body is now pretty much a write-off....

Maybe it was my computer... but the engine sounds didn't match up with the video... hence the OOS (out of sync)... maybe it was my computer... I am transferring 15GB over my wireless network while watching the vid (got a new network hard drive and I want ALL my stuff on it...) I just might have to watch it again. Of course, your video put me in the mood to watch some of my old vids... and now I want to make another one... it's been a year and 5 months since I put out a video.... I'd love to get my Revo running... so I can have a combo Revo/LST2 vid.

Try it again.. Photobucket has been a PIA recently.. My vid was actually 6 min long, so the last minute is cut off. I also tried on google - like three times - but that didn't work either... Thanks for the feedback though. Cool feeling to have a good bash day, and when you're going home knowing that you got some footage to make a vid with.. Instead of an LRP Spec 3......, my next purchase will be an Armani watch for the girlfriend.., thanks mostly to her patience with (and filming of..) my crazy hobby....

Anyway, go make a vid..

LOL... wives / girlfriends make good cameramen ... err.. people... LOL... my first bash with the LST2, we brought a still camera but no video... the second one... we brought both... but neglected to take them out (got some good runs... and straight through a 8-10" deep water hole)... but of course... didn't get it on camera... I have to find a time I can take the wifey out to my bash spot... and get GOOD video.

cool vid. over 300F on the stock engine? when I get over 270F it runs like crap top end. I find good power balance at 230 to 250F I did have a small problem with it loading up at idle but I switched to Odonnel fuel and now is runnning a lot better. I was running monster before 20%. I remember when you first got it you were a little gun shy of jumping and bashing your lst2, now look at you . Lst2 is a little tougher then you thought? cool vids keep them coming. just out of curiosity how did you learn english and how many languages do you speak. I was talking with a girl from Germany she was going to school at temple in Philadelphia and spoke like four languages and said that's not uncommon.

Hey thanks... Yo, that 300+ temp was a few months ago.. Ran a hard tank through it.. I must say, I'm lovin' that Mach... Yesterday I don't think it hit 270..

And yes, the LST2 is proving itself to be tough indeed...

As for Enlgish, I'm American - English teacher...

Five+ years later..:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kOPfSkcDcU

Best RC ever..

Video's kind of lame. I was - of course - nailing it when I was there all by myself. When I finally found a filmer later, I was nervous - and screwed up the jumps.. Busted both trucks - but not bad. Stinger and carb ripped off LST2 #1, LST2 #2 had some weird binding with the linkage and the front driveshaft popped out.

I want to get back into bashing and just going for big air. I followed the herd into racing, and hate it. I'll take launching WOT off a ramp over changing shock oils and diff oils and agonizing about this or that geometry or whatever between heats and all the other lame crap that goes with racing any day..
