I have flown this model and it flys very well. If I were to do it over again, I would replace the CA hinges with aftermarket ones, as the supplied ones are a bit stiff. I am flying it with a well broken in OS 46AX with a 10-6 APC prop. Make sure you use an exaust diverter to direct the goo over the top of the wing. I filled the wheel well with gunk on the first flight with the exaust in the down position. I am in the process of changing the angle of the landing gear to about 6 degrees forward. It is a bit sensitive with the gear in the stock position for take-off. In the air the plane flys very scale like. Landing is good with flaps up or down, but a very different approach is required depending on flap use. Without flaps it lands like a warbird without flaps, keep the speed up and "fly" it all the way down. With the flaps extended, it slows down A LOT! Keep the nose down and it is very stable. I am satisfied with the flight performance of this plane. The cowl that comes with this plane is great and has the right thrust built in to it with no trimming needed. The green covering tends to wrinkle and I have not had too much luck in getting the wrinkles out. I did replace the spinner without ever trying the stock spinner. I've had better luck with "Name Brand" spinners in the past with ARF's, so I took no chance. Stock may be fine, but I didn't want to chance it. The flap servo is a HITEC digital that is programmed to @ 2 seconds for full travel. I didn't want the flaps to slam down when activated. I was impressed with the retract gear. Much better than I expected as stock from an ARF. I did have to pull the wheel well covers out and sand a little where the gear push rods rubbed on the ribs, but not too much. I would recommend this plane to those with warbird type experience. It does not have the tip stall tendancies of a lot of warbirds. Mine weighs 6.2 pounds dry. I may just have to buy another one and re-cover it and paint it in another scheme. One thing about the push rods, they are hard steel, and do not like to be bent as shown in the instructions for the servo ends. Enjoy the plane, I do.
