Status: offline 		I'd like to know that myself as I'd like to run it up against my .12 mono's sometime.

Jerry, if you're reading this, do you have an idea of what the prop nut size is? I did pick up some spare bolts at a LHS yesterday but I'd like to get some extra prop nuts. Those things like to hide in the grass! I haven't lost one yet but I know what it's going to happen! The Aquacraft site was no help.

Status: offline 		Well I just saw the video looks good. I see what you mean I could see the little bounce in it. I watched a video of a guy running the brushless one that was on the net it was really bouncing bad. I dont think I can make the fun run for one my car I would not trust. Plus still not doing good financially yet. Im going to go look for a firewire so I can try to load video of my Wild Thing. I promised Mr Fixit I would when I could get the firewire.

I don't know what the size is, but the nut is removed using the largest size on the Kyosho 4-way nut wrench.

It's up to the club to decide. The rules Kelly and I wrote suggest that classes can be arranged by engine size, hull type, or even speed. If a club saw enough SV27 Nitros to make their own class then they chould run on their own. If not, put them all together.

Status: offline 		I just uploaded a video into YouTube so give it a few minutes to finish proccessing and I'll add a link in here.
We took it to Copper Park this time just east of me in Comstock. This pond used to hold the Great Lakes Scale Ship Regatta many years ago.
The first run was made with an Octura X-440 2-blade but tried an X-640 in this video. I saw no change in the engine load but the boat did seem to run flatter on the water with less bouncing. I recorded this time while my son Eric drove. There is a flip right at the end but no damage done. Two of his friends were there including one of his girlfriends so I think that he was showing off a little more than usual.
The Mean Green Pond Pickle (that name is growing on me) is getting to be too much fun!

I just uploading a second video that was actually the first with the X-440 2-blade prop on it.
I'm also thinking that this little boat could take a lot more prop but I'm not going to press it for a while until I pump some more fuel through it. There are 3 Prather 220's in my prop box that are homeless but a 215 might be more practical if I can find what I did with that one.
I took it down to 45% nitro today for a few reasons. One, it finally broke 80 degrees this afternoon and the lower fuel would make it easier to tune. I never touched the needle since I first got it running but found out that it is more sensitive than my other boats.

Status: offline 		the .18 should hold the 215 just fine, LOL I see a vegas killer.........and with OS .18 it would realy tear things up! I havent had a RTR in a long time but I have kicked around the idea of one of these.....

I have been watching this thread for a few days now. A friend and I have been looking to get into the sport and I am searching for a good first boat for each of us to get. The V27 is looking good. I see a lot of guys saying "I gotta get one". My question is what are you running now and what makes you want the v27? I just want my first boat to be a lot of fun and to not get board with it in the near future. I also read good things about the Proboat models. Before this boat come out I was also thinking of the Aquacraft Miss Vegas. I have a 7 acre pond across the street to run in and it is calm unless the wind picks up. What is my best option?
