Try taking your idle speed up if it doesn't want to keep running. A fatter needle will need more as the lean needle will want to idle faster.

make sure it's getting good water supply through the cooling system, watch for it coming out the side port as you drive by, if it's not, it could be getting hot on you.

two, make sure that the pressure line from the pipe is secure to the tank top, as the motor/tank requires pressure to supply adequate fuel.

three, try unplugging your pressure line from the pipe, pinch the fuel line off going to the carb, and blow on it. see if your cap is holding pressure. i ended up using a pop bottle cap, worked much better. i also added some gasket material to the bottom of the cap to help seal better.

four, make sure you are not too lean, come out on your high speed needle a bit, and see if it still runs hard, or 'burbles' a bit, indicating it's a little rich. i would come out until you know are too fat, then come in from there 1/8th turn at a time...... i do this EVERY time out, saves pistons don't ya know......

this is all just just my two cents....

well, you can try these things, and let us know how you fare!

Grimracer is right - DO NOT SWIM FOR A BOAT. It's NOT worth your life (read: drowning) no matter how strong a swimmer you are! Also there is always the possibility that the water is pollluted!

I never swim for it without my life jacket. I usually only drive it at my local lake when I go to jet-ski, so the water isn't polluted to the point of toxicity, and I always have my life vest. I still need to know the ID and OD of the stuffing tube so I can get one!

i am pretty sure it is 1/4" o.d. i got mine at a local hardware store, they have all sizes, and they telescope within each other. if you are not going to run the teflon liner,(i would, or place a smaller diameter piece of brass tubing to take up some of the slack in there..) this should work just fine. i have done several stuff tube mods for other boats using the supervee/vegas output shaft bushing inserted into the tubing, and it works great!!

As long as I'm not the only one going thru the new boat blue's, I don't feel as bad.

I have a couple of questions for the veterans.

First of all, I have followed the break in directions and my boat will start and run pretty well. I have noticed an ocasional bog, I let off the throttle momentarily and get back in it and it runs hard again. Do you think I am to lean still?

Second, Flat out straight, the boat doesn't seem to run as hard as a slight turn to the right. I think the prop is picking up out of the water a hair and lets the engine wind out better. Should I mess with mixture, rudder angle, or both?

Other than that, It's been an absolute riot! Got my first barrel roll on Sunday! Wish I had video. Freakin' halarious.

On a side note, picked up an Aeromarine 40" catamaran off of Craigslist a couple of weeks ago. Never ran. Came with all parts, just needs to be finished. I'll post some picks when I can.

Yuppers, still a little lean.
When the engines revs in the turns it's actually leaning a little and letting the prop "air out" a little. Try raising the strut a little more.

cant just put in the water.... kinda toss it and bring up the revs first, then it should go...and it will also not go for about the 5 to 10 feet till the prop grabs,, dont over rev it..once it grabs,,,, look out then the fun begins!!!!!!!!!

i push it to the water not toss , is tossing the boat to the water solve my problem ?
when the engine stops and i take it back , i see water in the boat , i could not find where water comes in to hull.
ok, 1- i started the engine 2 1/2 open needle , is starts easily , on the land it is running good, i throw it but not too fast ,it goes for 1-2 secs and stops , if i throw it fastly , you say problem will be solved ?
2- can we install a clutch on the engine ? i think clutch will be very useful for stabil running.
3- and the last way , i f i want a electric conversion on sv27 nitro, is it simple and how much does it cost?
thank you.
