Hey Ron, how long do you figure one tank is in minutes?

Mike told me (I think) 5-8 minutes and I think that he's really close. Shooting the two videos today and a run beforehand I went though maybe 1/2 tank on a slightly fat needle.

Hey Ron,
Thanks for the response and video. I will further monitor this thread and let you know what I decide on. BTW, guys don't pay no attention to the Sparticus name, the wife thought it would be funny if I typed it in. What was'nt funny is that the website will not let me change the name so I am stuck with it.
Does anyone know of any clubs in OH? I am 35 miles south of Cleveland.

Thanks,

Kevin

There is one I think just west of Cleveland, the North Coast Pond Hoppers, www.thencph.ws that are a mostly gas boat club and a fun bunch of people. There may be some other clubs near you, one which I think is hosting the IMPBA Internat's this year. Check out www.impba.net and look for District 2 or this site: http://www.impba2.com/index2.html .

Nice vid Ron! I was perusing at the non remix vids and I was trying to compare the performance of the 440 vs 640. Its really hard to judge by just watching the video, but by the sound of it, the 18 took to the 640 pretty well, aye? It didn't sound like it bogged down or anything.

I didn't hear the boat bogging down either or any difference in acceleration. It's making me wonder now how much prop can this boat take? I'm not going to try to push it to its limits yet as I want to get the engine broken in more first. I dropped the nitro down to 40% for the runs as I'm trying to keep it down to where a lot of boaters will run it at.
Mike had one at Toledo with an OS dropped in it on display. This baby should be a handful with a hotter engine in it! Right now I'm very happy with what it came with.
The "remix" video made the boat appear slower as you saw by the other video. I probably won't be doing any more until next month at the Fun Run when I put it up against the brushless version.

Im gonna be buying one of these sv27's nitro in about a month or 2, is there anything i am going to need to get started to run this boat? I wanna run in the 30mphs zone so is there any mods i will need to do? Also what % of nitro should i run in this boat? This will be my first nitro so i am not used to the nitros. So i will need help tunning and stuff!

Hey mxracer,
The SV27 Nitro will run in the 30's with no mods, pending you are using boat fuel and get the engine set correctly. Just follow our instructional DVD that is included. Also, if you can find modelers in your area that know how to tune marine engines and hulls, this is the best help.
All you need after getting the SV27 Nitro is BOAT fuel, fuel bottle, AA's for the TX/Rx and a glow ignitor to ignite the glow plug. Pick yourself up a few extra glow plugs to have on hand and after run oil for the engine for when you are done running for the day.

Cable grease also good to have on hand. Will need to maintain the flex cable every 4 - 6 runs.

Have fun!
