so far remember not having run it, this is the only RTR mono I would spend my money on.......Personal opinion the shockwave I wouldnt give 5$ new for it and the nitro hammer is a lesser boat and wont have the speed of the super Vee, stock or modified....Also might suggest adding some floatation to the cowl just in the off chance it comes off in a wreck....cowl is small wouldnt take much

Mine looked like it was plastic also. It's so close to the color of the supplied prop and such a close fit, at first I thought that they were one piece!

Install the batteries!
I started the carb off at 2-1/2 turns out.
There really isn't a lot to do to get it ready to hit the H2O which is kind disappointing to a tweaker.

Would suggest to just run the SV as is following the break-in guidelines for the engine. Be sure to check out the included DVD

Thereafter, make one mod at a time and test so you can experience the difference. Here are just a couple of things you can do;
Change the prop. Go with our new AQU Grim 42x55 metal prop. Info for our new metal prop line will be on www.aquacraftmodels.com website in a few days. Stay tuned
Sand the bottom of the hull
Sharpen the leading edge of the rudder
Sharpen the leading outside edge of the turn fins
Add pool noodle flotation to the interior starboard side of the hull. Keeps the hull from pointing straight up in case of a flip
Engine mod...opps, can't say those, will void the warranty.
Use a good boat fuel, 30% - 65% nitro.
Tune your metal prop; i.e., balance, sharpen, etc.

Have fun!
Russ

Street price for the props will be about 19.99. We have also put these in clamshell packaging which doubles as a prop holder to help prevent damage while in your pit box.
Prop charts and applications, balancing and sharpening tips, etc., will be on AQU website soon. Should have these in stock before the end of this month.
More selection also coming soon....stay tuned
Thanks,
Rw
