Ive heared of people using rocket powered torpedos but Wouldnt a rocket motor just plunge streight to the bottom or go on a upredictable path how would you make it run flat!
Thanks

alright every body i have solved the rocket torpedo problem of ignition! All you have to do is you take the rocket put it into a torpedo shell seal the end a little ways form the back of the rocket so its airtight but it can be burnt away run a fuse to the end of the airtight area and take the remote ignition wires attach to fuse and count down hit the button that triggers the servo to hit the ignition button and presto a perfect rocket torpedo!

And also a very dangerous, unpredictable ballistic. This is not a good idea at all, better to not do it then cause significant property damage, or injure or even kill someone.

by using a bottle rocket the stick acts as a stabilizer. this is not for going up but through and under water due to the rocket carrying its own oxygen. this is actualy safe even tho it does not sound safe

I have lit bottle rockets and put them at the edge or the water, it works, they go straight and wont lift off, but if they get aimed down the hit the bottom and get stuck...if you took the time to make something neutrally boyant with some mass to it to keep it moving and a small rocket engine you could get maybe 10-15 feet out of it max from what I have seen messing with rockets and water...

um taxi driver if i understood you right are you saying that i have not done this because i have and it is actually safe!!! the reason you hear stories is some people are stupid and launch it up and out of the water i am not talking about launching it vertical but launching it horizontal. this makes for a cool show in a sub war and is safe

Yes we have all fired estes type rockets underwater, you don't even need that air tight area you've drawn-just seal the igniter with a drop of wax. I mean have you got this this to fire under radio crontrol from a sub under water and still have an operational sub afterwards?

By the way, go to warship combat and look at the non-exploding warhead forum.

to be considered a rocket it has to supply its own fuel. an hopefully the gases being expelled from the rocket(it farts!!?!?!?!?!?) will keep the water away from where the fuel is burning.
