Ok, finally got back and got some sleep. (You know, falling unconscious from exhaustion?)
Last weekend was a blast and sorely needed. The last month has been pretty rough with pnuemonia and crunching to get the nats planes done, as well as getting the kits ready to ship. The carbon for the canopies is here (finally) so the kits will start shipping very soon. Not sure how many will get shippied before the nats, but as many as possible. Any that don't will be shipped when I get back.
Arch's plane came out just about perfect. Target weight hit just about on the money, finish is much better than I expected for a week finish...but, it does look really nice!
This is a pic of the other plane I built and Dean painted. I originally built it for someone else for the nats, but we have sort of come to an impasse and timing and whatnot didn't work out, so this is now my plane. of course, for the right price it could be YOUR plane That is true candy apple red, and pictures do NOT do the finish justice. It's a little "over the top"......but it is just way cool.
More later...
-Mike

Mike, nice looking plane. Sorry I missed all you guys at my home field last weekend. I had just gotten back from Mexico late Friday night and didn't get the voice mail from Bryan H until Monday night. Wish I could have been there to see the BM up close and personal. Hopefully you'll be able to make it down to the contest in Crowley later this year! Great looking scheme, by the way, love the candy apple red!

Name your price.
Not sure you really want to know It's pristine, brand spanking new, and unfreakinbelievable. Built to the Concourse standards.
I dunno, make me an offer? LOL Seriously I have never built a plane like this and sold it, so I really haven't priced it out yet.

PS Matt I'll be at the cajun Nats for certain. I wish last weekend had gone smother because I drove all Saturday night, got into Baton Rouge at daybreak, got up at about 11am, drove to the field and worked on Arch's plane until it got too dark to see. I REALLY hate it that Bryan lost his composite Shinden, he was looking VERY good with it!

Seriously thanks guys, this thing is really cool. I sorta like Arch's better, BOTH of them have a little trick painting that only shows up in direct sunlight.
I may finish it up and bring it to the nats for a back up plane; just sorta depends. I've never had this happen before so I am a bit stunned. Just not really sure what to do yet.
Anyway, I have my prototype back (man it is ugly compared to these new ones LOL) and I am finally going to get to do some FLYING for a change. I have a lot of catching up to do around the shop, and getting the first wave of kits out too. Trust me, these ARE worth the wait!!!

Yeah Mike you looked like the walking dead it was a tough weekend for a few guys. Brett broke a gear plate and elevator when he was pushing his airplane to the flight line ........we stayed up till 230am to get it fixed ,ate some good cooking provided By Brian Clemons though. then my airplane quit responding on the top of the F-Center humpty and plowed wide open in the gumbo mud. But After Mike , Arch and Nick completely rigged out a airplane at the flying field in about 4 Hours it inspired me to get another composite Shinden together So with the good Lords Help I`ll have one at the Nats flying again. It`s too bad I don`t have Mike and Arch around to Help BTW Good luck to all at the Nat`s Bryan
Sorry to hear about your composite Shinden, Bryan, Brian told me about it last night when I spoke to him. Sounds like you're going to be working day and night to get that other composite together for the Nats! I wish you all the luck in the world with that one.

hey Bryan, you KNOW all you have to do is say "hey Mike come give me a hand" and I'm on my way back down there.....I have to do some work on this one anyway at some point. I built this plane to be at the Nats. No way it won't be there in some fashion. I'm sure the Shinden can be done....although would the time be better spent practicing? Delimnas delimnas....this year has been full of them.
