I contacted Sparky at Parkflyer Plastics. Keith said he offered to do the canopies and is waiting for a reply. If I damage my canopy, I will make a wooden mold and learn how to vacuum form my own canopy. The canopy frame details can be painted in, the frame molding in my canopy is way too wide anyway. Good luck, you CanDo it!

JeffH, I have spoken with Keith in the past, as I think he does really great design work on some very neat subjects. I have not discussed the molding with him but I will; perhaps it can at least get me out of the woods with the guys that need canopies right away. Thanks for the tip.

JeffH, I tried to contact Keith thru the link you provided with no success. I verified the site address from other sources and I still came up with the same error message. I'll try another way.

Rich,

It must be nice that your design's are much in demand, but upsetting to you and your customers that you can not supply the parts the modelers need to get their birds in the air. I have 2 flights on my 81" OV-10 arf and I am really happy with the model. It sure looks cool in the air.

I hope you are sucessful in your search for a new supplier, so more of these fine models can grace the skies.

Congrats on the first 2 flights the bronco is a nice and easy twin to fly. I got 3 flights now on my 52" Bronco with the retract mod but I keep having problems with the gear doors so I'm pulling them off for the rest of the season. I also have to adjust the mains so I get more positive pitch for takeoffs. If I have a good head wind takes offs are good but this past weekend wind was low and takes offs where long. I was on Hobby hangars web site last night looking up price info for a buddy that whats to buy a Bronco and I found out that the 81" Bronco arf is no longer available. He wanted an 81" but i guess he will have to settle for the 52'. I have flown both and the are equally great flying planes.

Rich, Keith may be slow in responding, depending on what is going on. He replied to my email in a couple of days. I didn't get an error message when I emailed him.

I may know why you are having this problem your browser may have stored the link with the error in it. I have had the same problem once before. To clear this I have cleared my cookie folder as well as cleared the link on my browser then manually typed in the web-site. Hope this helps

That site looks interesting. I have the plans for the A-10 he has the short kit for.

Might be a cool winter project!

Thanks, Les (CanDo). I just sent him an e-mail. I love his stuff, especially the "cartoon scale" Warbirds. In addition to his Bronco and Mohawk, he's got an outstanding EDF B-58 Hustler.

Rich, you're very welcome. By the way, YOUR models ain't too shabby either! Besides the 81" Bronco, I also have the smaller OV-10, the SE-5, and the Fokker D7 kits. Good luck with the canopy!

Rich,
Any chance the 81" Bronco ARF will be back in production? Is its end tied to the lack of plastics as well?

Thanks,
Bill S.

After two moves here in Tallahassee and a lot of packing and unpacking, finally back on the Bronco. First time out on her feet. Have to finish sanding and and final prep for covering.

Oh I will for sure. Heat of summer has hit, so a lot of building is done in the AC.

Danny was finally able to get the video of my Bronco posted. A few things to note:

She takes off like all Broncos. Rotates and heads for the sky. Scared me the first few times but I'm getting used to it now.

I need to us more rudder in the turns or couple some rudder with the ailerons.

I was using the 8 cell packs on this flight. Take off was at full power. Most of the flight was at about 60% power.

Landing was a bit fast but at 24 pounds she wants to stall if you get it too slow. Both takeoff and landing was with 1/2 flaps. I'm going to try full flaps on the next landing to see it I can slow it down some.

Your observations?
