The 5945's are only $71 each at servo city right now!!!! Is there a differance between the 45's and 85's besides 9 oz of torque? Yes I know this is the AW form (I have a yak with 5985's in it), but I would rather ask you guys sine I'm looking at putting something in a 100cc 260....

I have 5985's on all my control surfaces on the AW 50cc Yak, no problems at all.

The 5985's will work fine on the 50cc Yak but like has been said above there are some very good deals on the 45's right now. Either one of those servos however will work great!

The 5985's are a better servo, gears are better and will have no slop after a season of flying, I'm using them on a 50cc AW Yak, no problems.

Get the 5985, the price difference is small for the increase in quality. I have had a lot of problems with centering on the less expensive Hitec servos.

Use the 5985's. I have them on the 50cc yak, extra and 100cc extra except for 5955's on the rudder. You'll need 5 if you use a 5985 on the rudder.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered 5 of the HS 5985's...I was looking at the 5645's ..they were a little less expensive asnd had 168 oz. of torque....I'm not planning on doing any 3D stuff for a while... That's why I thought the 5645's would be OK..... Anyway I took the plunge and bought the better servo..Thanks for the advice...Rick

I made the same mistake on another plane... and found out that these servos are SO SLOW... I wouldn't fly with them. I'm not a 3D guy either, and they would probably have been fine, but with digitals, you expect an immediate response.. and the 5645's just don't give it.
