Heya Dudes,

Im just up to installing the control horns on the Yak now, im just wondering about the little square plasic/fiber sheets, do they go under the control surface? One of them broke does it matter?..

Do you cut off the covering in the shape of the square and glue the whole assembley on or just cut out the slots for the horns and thats it?

Thanks Guys

Mine were pre slotted and just slid over the horns after gluing in place. I thought they were there to A) cover the excess glue and B) hold the covering down. Being as thin as they are I cant see them doing much more than that. No need to cut away the covering. Hope this helps.
Adam

I kinda thought they were a measure to let you know when the horn was in all the way. I removed the covering between the two slots and let the epoxy that ozzed out glue them in place. I doubt they add any strength to the joint.

Thanks
Barry

Yes, just drill the hole a little larger and use a washer.

Thank you,
Reza
