Hi There,

I have been running a 5245 on my throttle for quite a long time, and when I powered the plane up to take a flight today, it just quit working. Very weird. Its like the servo was getting no power as you could move the arm freely. I tried it in a few different channels to no avail. So When i got home I hooked it up to the programmer to see if i could get it to move via the programmer. No go. then I reset the servo and it started working great once again. So while it works, it does concern me...

What could cause this? Will it happen again? Should I send it in?

It was very cold while flying it today (about 25 degrees F, so would this have anything to do with it?). Please let me know. Thanks!

Adam

To be safe I would send the servo to Hitec Service with a complete description of the problem experienced... Any how or why the servo failed would be speculative and trhere are many variables too.

Alrighty. I'll pick up a replacement and send it in. SHould be under warranty right? I have had the servo for about 6 months.

Yes, it will be covered. We'll repair or replace it under warranty.
