Hi I want to know what exactly I will need to finish this model so I can make a list and order everything the same day, it will be my first gasser.
Can someone tell me about batteries, regulators etc.. I already decide for the DA 50 combo, but everything else I need to know.
Well I also think to get a CF spinner, maybe CF Landing Gear, should I get titanium axles?
Thanks.

Oh BTW Reza do you still have this one in stock with DA50 canister? pm me about ordering option thanks.

A friend of mine has this plane and purchased the Airwild Extra 4" Spinner. It really matches the plane and Tru-Turn Does Not make one that even comes close it. Matter of fact, I liked it so much I bought one for my EF Yak. Really worth the money. My 2c

Arevir...

You will need:
4" AirWild (Nova) Spinner
5- Red Hot digital servos. I went with 3 (in the tail) HS5955TG and 2 HS5985 on the ailerons
1- Throttle servo. I went with Futaba 9001, nice smooth servo.
1- Choke servo. I went with Futaba 128 but some other basic servo will be fine
4- 24" servo extensions
2- 6" servo extensions
2- 12" servo extensions
4- 1.5" aluminum servo arms. I went with the best: MLP from AirWild
1- Ignition battery. I went with Expert 6v 1500mA NiMH
1- Receiver battery. I went with Hobbico 2000mA NiMH
4- 1 1/4" Aluminum engine stand offs, come with the kit if you get the combo
1- Muffler, cannister, comes with teh kit if you get the combo
2- Heavy duty switches, 1 for ignition, 1- for receiver
1- Smart Fly optical kill switch
1- Prop. Probably a 22x8. I went with a NX 22x8
1- Set of wheels. I went with the Kavan 3.5"
1- Set of axles. I went with the PSP titanium
1- Receiver. I went with a 14 channel Futaba G3. You will need a minimum of 7 channels

That's about it for mandatory equipment.

Many will say the LiPo batteries are much better. If you use them you will need to use regulators.

The stock gas tank is 22 ozs. I opted for a Dubro 16". This saves almost two ozs and the benefit of 6ozs or so of fuel weight. The 16ozs will fly the DA50 for a minimum of 20 minutes. At least mine does. I didn't see the need for the extra fuel.

That's about it.

Thanks
Barry

Thanks man that make life much easier
I see you only listed 4 servo arm 1.5'' I guess that for elevators, alerons, so what size would I need for the rudder?
so you guys think this one Pete CF Spinner will work or should I just go get the Nova?

I apologize if I missed it, but you may want to consider adding 3 matchboxes to that list. 1 for each wing and 1 for the elavators. If you plan on doing any real precision flying, these will be a must. This set-up can allow you to get down to 5 channels (six with throttle kill). Personally, I think the choke servo is a waste.

It comes with a carbon fiber 3.5" servo arm for the rudder. It must be mounted to another arm that mounts to the servo. Most are using the Hitec round disk and bolting/glueing to it and then mounting on the servo. Works nice.

I agree the choke servo isn't necessary. But I had a hard time coming up with a manual choke set up. And the choke servo is all kinds of cool.

Thanks
Barry

Umm...why?

there is only one servo per wing and you can use 2 seperate channels for the ele servos

Woops, the wing suggestion was meant for the 102". I wouldn't waste a channel for 2 elevators......I also think it is easier to get the geometry more precise with a matchbox.

Why use matchboxes, when you can just pick up a Hitec programmer.

or...why use a hitec programmer when you can pick up a couple of matchboxes?

It's preference.

I 2nd the hitec programmer. After you've set it up this way, the rest of the radio programming is so much easier, and you don't have to worry about weird point mixes, etc. It just works better IMO.
