I think the bipe will make a great addition to my bipe collection. I don't 3D but like to burn some smoke fluid on a nice blue sky day. Nothing like a bipe for the smoke show! I am glad the cowl and fuse got rounded out. Since I have a spere aileron servo hanging on the wall right now I will only need to pick up one more plus a couple of the MLP 1.25" arms and a Matchbox which is about the easiest way to set up four biplane aileron servos. I did that on my Goldberg Monster and it worked great. I need to de commission my Yak to recover it or sell it since the Chinakote is falling off of it at an alarming rate. I just hate to recover a plane after only 10 flights. Shouldn't have that problem with the Ultrakote on the Python.

I have FINALLY actually seen "rolls so fast it's a blur", after hearing the phrase for years.

I call that "you'd better be careful or you will turn the plane inside out" type of rolling or "you'd better be careful or it will spit out all the electronics". I once had my Showtime coming down into a blender, rolling so fast it, looked like it had two wings. I did have the SFG's installed at the time so it gave the illusion of interplane struts.

I too am waiting on this bipe, love Pythons.

I sold my Godfrey Ultimate with a D&B 81cc about seven years ago and haven't had a large bipe since and really miss it. Really looking forward to a lighter slightly smaller bipe. The Godfrey did take down pretty small. The tail came off and the wings were two piece with functional flying wires. Sweet flyer really. Something about the biplane that is hard for me to ignore and this Python is great since I really like the Yak anyway this is like a bonus Yak with two wings ......Well sort of.

Got a call yesterday from Aeroworks saying my pre ordered plane (insert Pitts Python and large grin here) would arrive in Noverber/ December! WOW, I may get it BEFORE I get my 9303 2.4. I am really excited about this PITTS! It is the coolest thing (IMHO) to hit the R/C scene in a while. Then again, I don't get out much. What is funny is that I was getting ready to buy a Composite ARFS Extra for my D/A 50 because I was tired of trying to keep the Chinakote on my Yak when I saw that this thing was already being advertised and just had to have it. The video is insane on the ailerons. I have five 8611a's and a 8711 and will only need to order one 8611a to finish out the servos after I decomission my Yak. I'll miss the Yak but oh well. Look at the picture. It really didn't stand a chance anyway. Also a new pic sent by Rocco from the Tucson Shootout.

A DA 85 will fit you may need a slightly taller gear however or a 3-Bladed prop but other than that it would work well!

Thanks.. I was curious about the Aeroworks. The SD Pitts is about 4 inches shorter, which could be a handfull on a Pitts.

We expect them to arrive around the middle of December. They are on the boat now.

Mark. I'm considering expanding my AeroWorks fleet to 3 planes, and this one looks great! I've had an Ultimate Pitts (another brand) before and liked it, but I would like to know how a "typical" Ultimate would differ from a "Pitts Python"... how are the designs different, and how would that translate to flight characteristics (and landings)???

Thanks in advance.

Mark,

I just ordered a Python and had a few ?'s.

1. How many test flights were performed on the recommended set-up. ie: servo's, batts, regulators etc. The reason I ask is that I am contemplating putting a powerbox in the Python. I cannot see using all of those digital serovs with-out some redundancy, plus it must put a heck of a load on the receiver in a high alpha routine. The powerbox would eliminate that. How has your experience been...

Im just curious about your thoughts.

Thanks,

Frank

The power box might not be necessary, but you might think about a dual battery system.. most receivers willl accept multiple batteries with no problems. You're not actually putting a HUGE load on the servos, given the 50cc weight/speed and the size of the control surfaces. I fly with some ranked IMAC pilots who don't even use power systems in a 100cc plane.. but they certainly do in a 160 size. But... you don't put a ton of strain on the servos in an IMAC routine either!
