Is there any thing wrong with this charger? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXUF46&P=7 It seems like it does what needs to be done.

It's a very good charger; most Plank and Heli Flyers are not familiar with it because it's popular with car guys. DuraTrax Tekin, Novak, Team Orion, etc are big in electric car racing. I often see these chargers at car races around the Chicago area. I fly Helis and have used Tekins for years; most of my friends have never owned one. For a few dollars more you can get a little more flexibility with the Super Turbo from "rc-dymond.com". Advantage with the DuraTrax is you can plug it into the wall, with the Super Turbo you'll have to buy a 12volt power supply.

Hi jeepsrcool,
I'm looking for a new charger also.I'm pretty much brain dead about them, but if I read the description right the intellipeak won't do anything smaller than a sub-c battery, doesn't transmitters have "A" size batteries. Also it says that it only cycles down to 2 volts,I read somewhere that you need to cycle down to 1 volt,or just under 1 volt.Like I said I'm not an authority on this ,but maybe red or one of the other guys can clear this up for us....gottafly

You can charge any size battery. Its discharging they say no smaller than sub c size because wiring on smaller packs is usually smaller gauge and at 2 amps discharge it could damage wiring. It recomends charging tx packs on trickle charge. As my tx pack say charge at 50 ma for 15 hrs or 180ma for 5 hours.. It does discharge at 2 or 10 amps. It trickle charges at 100ma . And starts the peak charge at 500ma and I was wondering if 500ma is to much for. I would like peak charging to start at 150 or 200ma for tx batteries .
